ALEx DEROO (Roderigo/Lodovico) makes his New Repertory Theatre debut. Alex graduated from Salem State University in 2016 with a BFA in Theatre Performance. He is

originally from Reading, MA. Recent credits include Romeo & Juliet and Julius Caesar with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Alex is extremely excited to bring the classic works of William Shakespeare and Harper Lee to students who are currently studying these amazing writers.

LILLIAn gOMES (Bianca/Montano) makes her New Repertory Theatre debut. Recent credits include Exit Strategy (Zeitgeist Stage Company) and The Threepenny Opera (Bridgewater State

University). Lillian recently earned her BA in Communications and Theatre from Bridgewater State University.

ChRIS kAnDRA (Cassio) makes his New Repertory Theatre debut. Chris just graduated from Salem State with a BFA in Theatre Arts with a performance concentration and

spent the summer touring with Speak About It, a show about consent and sex-positive communication for high-school and college students. He is most excited to be bringing Shakespeare and classic literature to the stage and enabling people to appreciate these wonderful pieces outside a conventional classroom! He is originally from Westford, MA.

SARAh MORRISETTE (Desdemona) makes her New Repertory Theatre debut. Recent credits include: All in the Timing and Doubt: a Parable (Newton Nomadic Theater),

Macbeth (Bay Colony Shakespeare Company), My Children, My Africa!, Psychosis 4:48 and The Bacchae (Ithaca College) and As You Like It and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Ithaca Shakespeare Company). Sarah received her BFA in Acting from Ithaca College and is a graduate of the internship program at the Center for Theatre of the Oppressed in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

EMMA TAyCE PALMER (Emilia/Brabantio) makes her New Repertory Theatre debut. Emma is a recent graduate of Boston University’s School of Theatre. Originally from

Minneapolis, MN, Emma grew up surrounded by a diverse artistic community that cultivated

her love of storytelling from many points of view. Emma has trained in both contemporary and classical acting at the Guthrie, Boston University, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Recent credits include Tanya in Punk Rock and Dunyasha in The Cherry Orchard.

ADRIAn PEgUERO (Othello) makes his New Repertory Theatre debut. Adrian is a recent graduate from Salem State University with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Recent credits include:

Clybourne Park (Albert/Kevin), The Seagull (Sorin), Angels in America Part One (Belize), and The Grapes of Wrath (Jim Casy). Adrian is most excited about making Shakespeare and theatre more accessible to those around us.

SLAvA TChOUL (Iago) makes his New Repertory Theatre debut. Slava graduated from UMass Amherst a little over a year ago with a BA in Theatre. Recent credits include

Circle Up (Youth Underground at Central Square Theatre), All’s Well that Ends Well (Vermont Theatre Company), and Love and Information (University of Massachusetts).

CLAy hOPPER (Director) returns to New Repertory Theatre after directing A Number and Classic Repertory Company’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Romeo and Juliet, The Scarlet Letter, 1984, Julius Caesar, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Macbeth, Of Mice and Men, and Great Expectations. In Washington D.C., he served as the Associate Artistic Director of Olney Theatre Center and Director of both the National Players and the Summer Shakespeare Festival. He now serves as lecturer in Directing and Theatre Arts at Boston University’s School of Theatre. Directing credits include Two Gentlemen of Verona, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Amadeus, Farragut North, Triumph of Love, and Call of the Wild (Olney Theatre). Other recent credits include On the Verge, or The Geography of Yearning (Contemporary American Theatre Festival Actor’s Lab). Off-off-Broadway credits include A Home Without and Different Zen (Third Eye Rep); Earthworms (The Working Group); and Triage and The Interrogation (The Miranda Theatre).
