Toulouse-Lautrec Exhibit GLENS FALLS – The Hyde Collection is pleased to announce the exhibitionToulouse-Lautrec & Company: Prints from the Belle Époque. On view in HoopesGallery from March 3 through May 27, the exhib will feature ten lithographs byToulouse-Lautrec and approximately twenty prints by his contemporaries includingPierre Bonnard (1867-1947), Jules Chéret (1836-1932), Maurice Denis (1870-1943), Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen (1859-1923), and Édouard Vuillard (1868-1940). Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901) was one of the most innovative andpopular artists of the late nineteenth century. In addition to his captivating imagesof cabaret performers, actresses, and dancers, he designed theater programs andsong sheets that conjure the atmosphere of the Belle Époque, or beautiful era. MVC Scholarship CompetitionCAPITAL REGION – In 1992, the first Mohawk Valley Chorusscholarship winner was selected. The annual competition isupon us once again.
