Addition and Subtraction



• I know that everything God does will endure

forever; nothing can be added to it and

nothing taken from it. God does it so that

people will fear him. Eccl.3:14

• Everything God does has eternity behind it.

• The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Ps.19:1



• Man, on the other hand, is caught in time, and

will either live for now and forfeit his future,

or live in light of eternity and sacrifice now.

• He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except

that no one can find out the work that God

does from beginning to end. Eccl.3:11



• For whoever desires to save his life will lose it,

but whoever loses his life for My sake will find

it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains

the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or

what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory

of His Father with His angels, and then He willreward each according to his works. Mt.16:25



• “ A son honors his father,

• And a servant his master.

•

If then I am the Father,• Where is My honor?

• And if I am a Master,

• Where is My reverence?• Mal.1:6



• We are all looking right into eternity—one

breath, one heartbeat away.

• Honor is not optional: It is deserved,

expected, and demanded

• If we honor Him, we will obey…

•

If we honor Him, we will love… • …believe His Word, serve Him, walk with Him,

• If we honor Him we will honor each other…



• Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said

indeed that your house and the house of your

father would walk before Me forever.’ But now

the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those

who honor Me I will honor, and those who

despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1

Sam.2:30



• God is all about ADDING to you significance.

• “ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

11 For by me your days will be multiplied,And years of life will be added to you.

12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”

Pr.9:10-12



• Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His

righteousness, and all these things shall be

added to you.

• It is called the FAVOR of GOD!

• 1 Samuel 2:26 And the child Samuel grew in stature, and infavor both with the LORD and men.

• How do you WRONG your own soul?

• If honor is addition—God’s adding signifigance

to your life—dishonor is SUBTRACTION

• The removal of significance to the point of loss

and emptiness.

• Hannah found her significance and God added

5 more children



• Therefore the sin of the young men was very

great before the LORD, for men abhorred the

offering of the LORD. 1 Sam 2:21

• These men dishonored God and He esteemed

them lightly, withdrew His hand and they died

at the hands of the enemy
