Ab o u t P r o j e c t i d e a

Youth Exchange “Carpathian Explore ” will bring 35 participants

from 7 different countries together to share each  country ’s

culture , cuisine and nature , while exploring the nature and

culture of the Ukrainian

Carpathian mountains over a period of 8 days .

An idea of making the youth  exchange that would be both

interesting and uniting for us . When having one of the

conversation we  understood that Europe today has to deal with

many different issues and one of the most important is  being

able to understand other cultures while being able to keep

one ’s own

o u r G o a l s a n d O b j e c t i v e s

Organizations also share the same need of involving

participants more in their work for a more sustainable and

environmental fr iends society , and see that many young people

lack the  understanding of the importance of taking care of the

nature . Through an experience with being in the nature ,

meeting people l iv ing close to the nature everyday and having

a better understanding about tradition l i fe , we as organizations

believe i t can help to meet these needs among the young

people .

Aim of the project is for participants to learn more

about each others cultures , traditions , cuisine and

nature through outdoor experience .

We set fol lowing objectives for the project :

-to promote inter-cultural exchange and

awareness , and connect young people from

differing

national , ethnic and cultural backgrounds .

-To learn about different European cultures ,

cuisine and nature

-To promote sustainable and ecological l i fe-style

-To encourage active citizenship through learning

about problems and challenges in different

countries

-To f ight negative stereotypes about various

cultures

-To discuss needs , problems and interests of young

people from different cultures

We will achieve these objectives by using non-

formal learning methods , involving participants in

planning , implementing and evaluation stages of

the project .

Dear participants during the project we are going to have a lot of domestic

travels , please try to spend as less as possible for your f l ight t ickets . It 's will

help us a lot to make this project better . Feel free to arrive before or stay

after the project 3 days for   your own costs .  

Reimbursement will only be done i f you ful ly participate and giving all travel

documents and boarding passes .

outdoor equipment and be

Hiking shoes (these should be suitable for high mountains

and rough terrain . No sneakers ! )

Waterproof jacket and trousers

Comfortable clothes for hiking

Thermal underwear ,  Fleece

Sleeping bag (> 0 C )

Hat , gloves and sun-hat

Water bottle

Sun lotion and mosquito spray

Hiking socks

Sewing kit

Head torch

Personal hygene : toothbrush , eco-soap , towel

cooking night where

they would cook a

meal from another

country for their

fr iends , clasasmates or

family and speak about

the project and

other cultures and

nature .
