FPMSProjectUpdate

Shortly after the Forest Park Middle School referendum question passed in the fall election, the District started the process of planning for the new building. Members of the architectural team hosted several interviews with current Forest Park staff to gain insight on how the new building can best support curriculum delivery. District representatives also toured other local schools that have recently been built. A site survey was completed to identify any environmental factors that the project must consider as it moves forward. The project is currently in its design and development phase. District leadership meets with the construction and architectural

teams every two weeks to develop and refine a building design and floor plan that will best support the educational needs of our middle school students and staff. The next months will be occupied with completing and finalizing the design for the new building. Ground will be broken on the new site this summer after school is out. The current tentative construction schedule would have the building complete and fully occupied with Grades 6-8 in September 2019. For further information, please contact the District office at 414-529-8220.
