Change on 19.11.2019, Dr. Thamizhachi Thangapandian recited the following famous lines
of Coleridge from his rhyme of the Ancient Mariner:
“Water, water, everywhere
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.”
She further went on to recite the following modern version of this poem:
“Air, air everywhere,
Air, air, everywhere,
Beware oxygen bars everywhere”

O WINDS, I WELCOME YOU.
While concluding her speech in the discussion under Rule 193 on Air Pollution and
Climate Change on 19.11.2019, Dr. Thamizhachi Thangapandian recited a famous poem of
great Tamil Poet, Bharathiyar who can be equated with Gurudeb Rabindranath Tagore has
written beautiful lines about ‘air’ – prana, as a source of elixir of life. The poet says:

Kondu Vanthu Kodu
Kaathre Unnai Vaazhthukinrom

She went on to give the English translation of the Tamil Poem – “O winds, I welcome
you the carrier of wonderful pollens, spreading the aroma of fragrant flowers, come gently,
kissing the leaves and waves, you bequeath the elixir of life to us, we sing in praise of you,
we adore you in awe, we worship you with the bow.”

12.12.2019, the Hon’ble Minister of State in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises and Minister of State in the Ministry of Animal Husbandry, Dairying And Fisheries
(Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi) recited what Shree Ram said:“O Laxman, Lanka of Gold is
not pleasing me, Mother and motherland are greater than even the Heaven. Devotion
for mother, father, teacher and motherland is the value inculcated by Sanskrit
literature.”
Sanskrit literature says:
May all be happy May all remain healthy
May all meet with the good
May no one meet with sorrow!
O Arjun! Ishwar dwells in the heart of all.”
