The European Party

The European Party was founded in 2005 Its main targets are:

Liberation of Cyprus from the Turkish occupation. Maintain the Republic of Cyprus as a single,

independent European State. Evropaiko Komma (European Party) is a

member of the European Democratic Party (EDP).

GOEK was founded in March 2006 The main objectives of GOEK are:

To defend the human and political rights of women and the total of Cypriot citizens.

To demand conditions of democracy, social justice and safety across Cyprus for women and the total of Cypriot citizens.

To promote women’s and children’s rights in Cyprus and abroad. To work for a European solution to the Cyprus Problem, a

solution based on the principles and values of the European Union.

WISER Project Women of rural areas are a group of population that

does not enjoy equal opportunities as other groups.

 In Cyprus 28% of women are self employed at a full time basis. Of these 38% are employed in rural areas 

The main economic activities of self employed women irrespective of location are in the sectors of Whole & Retail Trade 36% Community, Social & Personal Service 22% Hotels & Restaurants 15% Health & Social Work 10% Real Estate Renting & Business Activities 5%
