School Direct Salaried Programme Are you interested in training to become a teacher? Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you have passion for learning?

Train to become a Teacher with us. Our School Direct Programme is delivered by the East London Alliance SCITT who are rated outstanding by OFSTED. We are proud to boast a 100% completion rate (75% outstanding 25% good) and a 100% employment rate last year. If you are passionate about

teaching, get in touch!

The Davies Lane Teaching School Alliance is led by Davies Lane Primary school, an outstanding Primary school on the outskirts of the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We have 19 schools in the alliance, many of which are also outstanding so you’ll train in an exceptional setting. We offer a School Direct salaried route which culminates in QTS; we also offer a non-salaried School Direct PGCE route which culminates in QTS plus PGCE qualification, accredited by UEL.

The entry requirements for our salaried School direct course:

• GCSE grade C or above (or GCSE grade 5 or above for GCSEs sat in 2017 onwards) or equivalent in English Language, Mathematics and Science.

• A minimum of a lower second class (2:1) bachelor’s degree from a UK University, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.

• Professional skills test pass in Literacy and Numeracy before 1st July for a September start date to course.

For the salaried route you also need:

· Applicants must also display evidence of their commitment to and enjoyment of, working with children and young people (this may be through voluntary work with young people but must also include 10 days classroom experience within 1 year prior to course start date.

We may be able to offer a 10-day classroom placement within the Arbor Academy to support your application. Contact us for more details.

Places on the Primary School direct salaried route are in high demand so applicants should apply as soon as possible in the year before you wish to start training.
