“ I have lost my soccer sock”, shouted Dot.

Dot looked everywhere for her sock. It wasn't with her doll or the dog. It wasn't on top of the pot. Was it in the closet? Where did she leave her sock? Dot asked her mom to help her find her sock.

When vowels are long, the vowel says its name.

First, we are going to learn about long vowel A, and the different ways to make the A say its name. When 2 go walking, the first does the talking.

A “ai” plain When ai are together, the I is silent and the A says its name.

“ay” hay ay will also produce the long A sound

“a __ e” name when a word ends in the letter e, the vowel will also say its name
