As I reflect on the past year, I find myself smiling about all the things that

have happened – even those things that at the time, did not bring a smile

to my face. I’ve also been thinking about how much our lives are like

books. As we skim through the different chapters in our lives, we will find that in our book some

chapters are sad, some are happy, and some are exciting. The important thing to remember is

that if we fail to turn the page in our book, we will never know what the next chapter holds. We

often get stuck looking at the same chapter over and over and letting it consume us. It’s time to

    turn the page.

As we enter into a New Year, we will have a blank page on which we are going to put words.

We will have an opportunity to start a new chapter in our lives. New Years Day is a good time

to fix our eyes on the only One who knows what the year is to hold. You can boldly enter the

coming year with renewed hope in the power of God to do through you what you cannot. (You

may want to read that last line again.) You can boldly enter the coming year with renewed

hope in the power of God to do through you what you cannot. It’s time to begin righting the

    story of your life.

I’m excited to start this new journey with you as your pastor as we enter into 2020. I anticipate

that every one of you in this church will have your own chapter in my book and I can only hope

that I will be mentioned in yours.

Wishing you the best chapter yet in this coming New Year.

    In His Service,

    Pastor Toby

Sunday School Teachers are needed. Thank you to all those who have volun-teered to teach and care for our children. We still need a few more people to fill in occa-

sionally as a substitute. Teaching children can be a blessing to the teacher as well as the

children. They are the future of our church.
