Our ProgramsOur programs and services include basic retail skills, employment supports, financial management, job placement and job coaching. Below is a description of some of the offerings we have.

Job Placement and Job Coaching – Job Resource Centers – New Castle, Kent and Delaware County ServiceDo you need help finding and maintaining employment? Goodwill provides assistance to those seeking jobs by offering interview coaching, work readiness training and job club meetings along with basic computer skills training. Goodwill also provides consumers with job development and one-on-one job search assistance.

Employment Supports – New Castle County ServiceAre you looking for assistance? Goodwill offers a FREE Comprehensive Case Management program to men and women 18 years or older who meet required income guidelines. Participants will work one-on-one with a Family Resource Coordinator who will help guide and assist you in the following areas:

GOODWorks – New Castle, Kent and Delaware County ServiceLooking for a Career-Oriented Experience for your teen? Explore this exciting twelve week program operated by Goodwill of Delaware & Delaware County. Summer Camp also offered.

Stand By Me – New Castle, Kent and Delaware County ServiceDo you want to save money to improve your credit score, buy a home, send your kids to college or just pay your bills? Stand By Me offers free one-on-one support individuals who want to understand more about their money, make good financials decisions, and enjoy choices for savings and loans. Make an appointment today with a coach and start taking control of your finances.

Supported Employment – New Castle, Kent and Delaware County ServiceGoodwill of Delaware is a certified Medicaid Waiver Service Provider. Our dedicated staff works one on one with to develop job skills and habits that result in success and job retention. Call today to hear how we can help.

Basic Retail Skills Training – New Castle County ServiceDo you want to work in the ever-changing world of retail but have no prior experience? The Basic Retail Skills Training could help bridge the gap! This six-week skills training program prepares participants for competitive employment in customer service related fields such as retail, hospitality and office environments. This program emphasizes the development of customer service skills to include managing irate customers, telephone etiquette and the importance of proper communication. This program includes an off-site work experience.

Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County receives and sorts through

thousands of gently-used clothing and other household items each day

to help keep millions of pounds of goods from ending up in landfills.

Goodwill Staffing Services provides sophisticated staffing solutions

to enable companies to grow their business the right way. Providing

temporary, direct hire and temp-to-hire employees along with payroll

services, Goodwill Staffing Services specializes in administrative,

clerical, general labor, and light industrial employees. Every day, over

150 Goodwill temporary employees are filling positions in a wide range

of administrative and industrial settings.

Goodwill’s Janitorial Services business is responsible for cleaning

over 2.5 million square feet of office space every day. Facilities getting

attention from Goodwill include the courthouses in New Castle, Kent

and Sussex Counties and the dorms at the University of Delaware every

summer. Goodwill’s Janitorial team also provides construction site

clean-up for a number of area commercial building firms.
