“Worship By Giving”
It’s time to give!
Praise the Lord!
It’s tithing and giving time!
Praise the Lord!
To whom does the tithe belong?
The tithe belongs to the Lord: “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy unto the Lord.” Leviticus 27:30
Who should tithe? “Let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered…” 1 Corinthians 16:2
Why should we tithe?
Because the Lord says: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house…” Malachi 3:10a
Should we tithe our gross or our net?
“Thou shalt truly tithe. All the increase of thy seed that the field bringeth forth year by year.” Deuteronomy 14:22
How much should we tithe?
Now consider how great this man was, To whom even Father Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.” Hebrews 7:4
What is God’s promise to the tither?
“If I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3;10b
What kind of giver does the Lord love?
“God loveth a cheerful giver.” II Corinthians 9:7
All: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Faith to Discern
Acts 13: 1-12
Sometimes we are at a loss when unexpected events interfere with our goals. How can we keep our commitments and forge ahead? Empowered by their faith in Jesus, Paul and Barnabas preached and taught about Jesus despite a false prophet’s efforts to deter them.

The Lord’s Supper
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

Covenant
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ. We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings; faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior. We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay. We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
Joy to the World
Joy to the world! the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King;
Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room, And heav’n and nature sing, And heav’n and nature sing
And heav’n, and heav’n and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns! Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hill and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found
Far as, far as the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove,
The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.
