The items listed below are some of the next steps and events that you can expect in the upcoming months.

strengthening relationships by identifying community leaders, developing community partners and organizational infrastructure

• Create a Building Committee to work with architects, staff, ministry leaders and church council to create more detailed drawings and timelines for campus projects

West orange ConneCtion: The second meeting of the West Orange Connection Cluster Group will be on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. This group is for those who live in or near the 34787 zip code area. oHana: Ohana means family in Hawaiian. Ohana is a ministry opportunity on Sunday nights for middle school and high school students and their families. Ohana will be a fun evening for families to participate in board games, video games and sport games while listening to worship music from the student band. Come have fun with your children Sundays in the Attic from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

St. Luke's Sports promotes fun and fellowship. The eight-week season begins September 9 and ends November 2. Evaluations are Saturday, August 24. CoUnseling availaBle: The Community Counseling Center at St. Luke’s offers counseling services for a very low cost or pro bono for those who have financial need. Change the World Camp July 15 to 19 for Grades 1-8 (as of fall 2013). Campers will participate in hands-on service projects so that they will understand how to be a world changer for God.

spark the imagination Camp July 22 to 26 for Grades K-6 (as of fall 2013). Campers can choose from a variety of half-day options in music, art, cooking and performance.

take the stage Camp July 29 to Aug 2 for Grades 1-8 (as of fall 2013). Campers will enjoy acting, singing and dancing on stage while creating a musical theater production with a great message.

neXgen WeeKly prograMMing: High School students in grades 9-12 meet Wednesdays in the Attic (Building C) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Middle school students in grades 6-8 can participate in FUEL Thursdays in the Attic from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Come enjoy fellowship, games, and praise and worship. sUnday sCHool For all ages / BaCK to BasiCs: sundays today through august 18.

•Infants through pre-school age children will continue to meet as usual downstairs in Building B.

•Children can participate in “Back To Basics – Be Prepared,” our new summer programming for incoming Kindergarten through 4th grade students at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Fun and faith collide when children encounter God’s Word, learn Bible Basics, and make friends. Sign up to serve a Sunday during the summer; learn and have fun together with your child.

•Merge is our program for incoming 5th through 8th graders and will continue Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Attic. High school students can assist us with the Elementary program in the Fellowship Hall – please call the Grow office at 407.876.4991 ext. *258 to sign up.

•Young Adults drop in for Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. in the workroom of Building C (1st floor). This group is studying Adam Hamilton’s “Christianity and World Religions.”

•There are several classes offered for adults all summer; check out the classes listed each week in the Worship Guide or visit www.st.lukes.org/grow to view a complete list of classes.

e100: The American Bible Society has selected the 100 most essential passages in the Bible. Join Joline Krolicki and Judy Arndt at 9:30 a.m. in Building B Room 205 as we begin to zip through all 66 books on Sunday mornings.

tHe Me i Want to Be: Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. join an engaging study of John Ortberg’s book, “The Me I Want To Be: Becoming God’s Best Version of You.” Classes meet in Building C Room 204.

QUest For Happiness: Join Pastor David and his wife Marca and have fun while searching for emotional and spiritual insights in daily life. This class, based on the book “Second that Emotion, Untangle your Zany Feelings” by Patsy Clairmont, begins Tuesday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Building C Room 205.

traCe tHe JoUrneys oF paUl in greeCe in 2014: Pastor Bill is returning to Greece on April 26, 2014 for 8 days, followed by an optional 3 day Greek island cruise including Mykonos, Ephesus, Patmos and Santorini. Informational brochures have been placed in the information racks around campus.

• sUMMer sCHool WitH edUCational iMpaCt: Educational IMPACT is supporting summer school students K-3rd grade at Mollie Ray and Pineloch Elementary Schools this year. Classes are Monday through Thursday (with the exception of the week of July 1-5) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• FaMily proMise volUnteers: Families are here June 23 through June 30. Volunteers are needed to provide meals, host families and help set up or tear down. To sign up and view items to donate visit www.carecalendar.org. Enter calendar id 5382 and security code 1111.

• sUMMer lUnCH at Mollie ray: Serve pre-packed food at Mollie Ray Elementary School. The program runs Monday through Thursday from June 12 to July 17 (excluding July 1-5). We are particularly looking for volunteers who can serve the week of June 24, July 8 and July 16. Middle school age children and older can serve as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

get eQUipped: These classes and training opportunities are highly recommended for those serving this summer or preparing to serve through our community transformation initiative.

• toXiC CHarity: How Churches and Charities Hurt Those They Help and How to Reverse It: Begins TODAY from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Building C Room 210. A five-week class to learn how not to hurt while serving others, checking the intentions of our charitable acts and understanding the intricacies of poverty from the perspective of Bob Lupton, the author of "Toxic Charity" who has 30+ years of community transformation experience in Atlanta.

• dignity serves: Begins on June 21 (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and continues on June 22 (9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) in Building C Room 204-206. This is an interactive study that teaches you how to engage the talents of those we serve in a dignified way and create an interdependent relationship with them. Only time offered this summer!
