ENGINEERING SERVICES
These services were initially introduced for use by operators of Woodfield
Rochester marine loading arms but has been successfully extended tocover all the other makes previously mentioned. Since its introduction theservice has developed, by the use of good engineering and commercialpractice from spares and maintenance service to an all encompassing
repairs, refurbishment, modernisation, survey and advice bureau.
There is only one aspect of the loading arm business that W. R. Marine
Loading Limited is not involved in and that is the manufacture of newarms. We can therefore act quite objectively and independently of anymanufacturing links.
SURVEYS
We carry out structural and functional surveys on all makes and types of marine loading arms.
Comprehensive reports and constructive advice are produced which, if not already initiated, can formthe basis of plant history sheet which is a prerequisite of a predictive maintenance system

Surveys are undertaken on the following makes and types of equipment,

SPECIFICATION
Surveys cover, appropriate to make and type of arm, the following:-
General Operation
BalanceStructureSwivelsElectro – Hydraulics
Lubrication SystemsUltra – Sonics ( if requested )Insulation Joints
In addition, a full greasing of the swivels and bearings of the arms is carried out.
STANDARDS
All work is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the health safety at work act. This is avery thorough and professional survey. Climbing to the upper regions of the arms is generallynecessary but this can be achieved without the need for scaffolding. All our maintenance staff a is
thoroughly versed in these survey techniques and can be relied upon to follow the most rigid safetystandards.
REPORTS
Survey reports are as comprehensive as the inspections themselves and contain the following details.
Individual reports for each armGraphic illustrations for visual aidsSummary of the findings of the survey
These reports are such that they can be used to demonstrate the operating company’s intent to ensurethat their loading arms are safe for the use of their employees.

Because of the amount of work involved a survey can take up to 8 hours for each arm but work is
planned so that no interference with tanker movements is encountered.
FEES
An all inclusive lump sum price for surveys is agreed prior to carrying out the work.
MAINTENANCE
W.R.Marine Loading Ltd are currently employed on maintenance contracts from the Shetland Islands inthe north, down to Canvey Island in the south and all points in between. A W.R.Marine Loading
contract will ensure that your loading arms are always in good order. Whatever type or make of arm
you are operating WRML have a maintenance programme for. Should you have any particularrequirement your programme can be tailored to your specific needs.
All WRML maintenance programs have the following points to recommend them.
All work carried out by suitably qualified personnel to a dedicated format according to the type of
arms involved.All prices quoted are fixed with the option of a second years servicing at the same price.We supply all personnel, tools, and equipment to carry out the service.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO WE SUB-CONTRACT MAINTENANCE
WORK TO OTHER COMPANIES.
Formal, typed reports, graphically illustrated are produced for each arm serviced.
A 24-hour call out service is available, once again at a fixed rate.An engineering advice service provided by our team which will give you peace of mind in those
situations where you imagine its you verses the world.
By having your loading arms serviced on a regular basis, to a specific program, you obtain the
