S Y N O P S I S

When Sasha Moore, a fugitive, wanted in three countries for stealing a diamond from the British Crown Jewels, resurfaces after years of hiding, she sets out to "acquire" her favorite Monet which is being auctioned at Christie's. When a celebrity’s husband seeks to purchase the painting, the time is perfect, and Sasha’s plan is set into motion. With Interpol, Mi6, and the FBI on her tail, will Sasha pull off another legendary art heist?

I was inspired to create a complex female character who is fearless, and challenges the status quo in order to serve the greater good. Sasha is known around the world as one of the most brilliant art thieves that ever lived, and yet, she believes her actions are always righteous. Sasha is the feminine answer to Jason Bourne. She is complex, mysterious, and able to accomplish everything she wants to.

I am so proud of the work in this film. I produced SASHA for a 72 hour Short film challenge at The Actors Green Room and I was fortunate to have an amazing group of talented actors with me for the ride. I believe their unique talents shine brightly in this short.

We shot this film in three days and I am deeply grateful to my hard working crew, especially to my director of photography, Jacques Lang who offered valuable insight and creative ideas and agreed to drive with me to Laguardia Airport at two in the morning after a full day of shooting to “get that last shot.”

This film is truly a collaborative effort and I am honored to have been at the helm of it. I look forward to creating the feature film!

Dana Marisa Schoenfeld passion for entertainment is limitless. She is a writer/director/producer and actor who enjoys every aspect filmmaking.

She founded Main Sequence Entertainment in 2010 and has written, produced, directed and starred in numerous films including Dead Drunk, Play it Straight, Sasha, Drumpf, East, and Swiped Right.

Her TV Pilot EAST, won the best TV Pilot at the Hoboken International Film Festival, and is an official selection of the Big Apple Film Festival and the Bahamas International Film Festival. Swiped Right won Best New Jersey Comedy at the New Jersey Film Festival and is also an official selection at the Big Apple Film Festival. Dead Drunk, a short film she adapted from her original feature length screenplay, went on to win a Merit of Excellence Award at the Best Shorts Film Competition. Dana has three projects that are official selections at the Big Apple Film Festival.

Dana was cast in two feature films currently in post production and recently directed "Cayenne Pepper" a short film that is currently in post production. Dana currently has several projects in development and is slated to write/direct and produce a TV Pilot this fall.

BRIAN JOSEPH (Sound Mixer) is a senior partner at Trytone Sound and is the head of production sound. A graduate of the Made in New York Production Assistant Training Program, Brian never considered a career in sound mixing until one day when he acted as a replacement sound mixer on a web-series and realized that he had the love and gift it took to become a great mixer and run a great sound department.
