DescriptionTinkers Wood is a beautiful mixed broadleaf woodland that sits on level ground out of an ancient woodland site. It has a council road frontage and has excellent all year round access along a hard stoned track, suitable for a car.

The woodland has been left to develop naturally by the current owners and it has an undisturbed feel. It was replanted with broadleaves following a conifer crop about 40 years ago and includes a diverse range of trees including oak, ash, birch, willow and hornbeam.

As you look through the woodland you will find a lower canopy of smaller trees including hazel, holly, ash, privet and hawthorn. There is a rich ground flora including grasses, fungi, ferns, bramble, rose, wood anemones, celandine and honeysuckle.

Exploring the woodland, you will find a seasonally wet pond within the southern boundary that will attract passing wildlife such as badgers and foxes.

The soil is fertile loamy clay, which retains moisture and supports excellent tree growth.

Tinkers Wood is the perfect choice for those looking to own a woodland for leisure purposes -including camping - and to get closer to nature. There is also plenty of scope for the new owner to actively manage the woodland to produce good quantities of firewood for the family home.

Directions & AccessFrom Worcester: Heading West along the A44 take the first right turning onto an unclassified road called Crown East Lane.

Heading North West towards Upper Broadheath, Crow East lane merges into Ankerdine Road heading

towards Berrow Green. Remain on the same heading and keep left at the first fork.

On the same heading travel a further 1000 metres straight through the crossroads at Cobbler’s Corner.

Travel for a further 600 metres in the same direction past cottages on the right and opposite a farm you will see on your right a wooden gate with our Woods4Sale sign. This gate is marked A on the plan and is the access point into the woodland.

Please park your car safely without blocking access and climb the locked gate into the wood to continue on foot.

With your back to the gate (point A on the plan), the woodland is directly on your left.
