InternatIonal transcrIpts / all applicants with international transcripts are required to submit an original transcript from each institution attended along with a certified english language translation. applicants who would like to transfer academic credits earned at non-U.s. institutions are also required to have their transcripts evaluated by our preferred provider, World education services (www.wes.org), or by another member of the national association of credit evaluation services (www.naces.org). an admission counselor may require a transcript evaluation by an evaluator approved by World education services or the national association of credit evaluation services if it is deemed a necessary part of the admission decision process, even if applicants are not transferring credits. TOEFL ScOrE rEquirEmEnTS and ExEmpTiOnS / The TOEFL is required if English is not your native language. The minimum required score for undergraduate applicants is 580 for the paper-based test, 237 for the computer-based test, and 92 for the internet-based test. Bachelor’s and master’s applicants who have passed new School Level 6 ESL courses can waive the TOEFL requirement. associate in applied Science (aaS) applicants who have passed new School Level 5 ESL courses can waive the TOEFL requirement. For more information, visit www.newschool.edu/esl. parsons and The new School for public Engagement offer an ESL + design certificate, a new pre-enrollment program for international students who are interested in attending an art or design college in the united States but have low TOEFL scores.

Visas / international students accepted to degree programs at Parsons receive i-20 application material instructions in the accepted student letter. These applications must be completed and submitted to Parsons with the required financial documents and affidavits of support. students are eligible for an i-20 only if they are enrolled in a full-time degree program.

ScholarShipS and TuiTion / Tuition is the same for domestic and international applicants. Merit-based scholarship consideration is the same for all students and occurs automatically at the time of application. need-based aid for international students is determined by Student Financial Services after students are accepted.
