Dear Parents/Carers,
It was lovely to see parents and grandparents at the Key Stage 1 Harvest celebrations today, thank you to the
teachers and helpers for preparing the children so well and of course to the children for their enthusiasm and
performing so well. Thank you for your donations of non perishable foods which will be donated to the Trussell Trust
food bank.
Mrs Cador and Mrs Burns have safely arrived in Kenya, and send greetings, you may have seen their message on our
face book page—we look forward to hearing all about their visit after the half term break. Our partnership work on
Food and Farming has been successful. So far Mrs Cador and Mrs Burns have taught all about an English Harvest,
sung worship songs and 102 children have made small scarecrows. We have attached one of their letters showing a
day teaching at Kaiyaba.
We look forward to seeing the grandparents of Reception and Pre school children on Wed 30th October for a
sharing lunchtime. The new starters’ service follows at 2pm at St Chad’s (teas/coffees available at church from
1.15pm) to which Reception children school are invited, together with their parents, grandparents and Year 6
Buddies.
We continue to post news on the website and its great to see all the exciting learning that is happening around
school.
The Friends of Wybunbury Delves have held their AGM and now have a new committee. Claire Bratt is the Chair,
Emma Blood is Secretary, and Lorna Lyon is Treasurer. We look forward to your fundraising events which help school
enormously. A huge thank you to the outgoing committee who have worked so hard for school, the money you raised
has now been spent on Ipads which the children are thoroughly enjoying already. Thank you to all the parents and
friends who support our social and fundraising events.
We welcome Miss Hoosang on a ‘modern apprenticeship’, she will be working in Early years this year.
I hope you all have a lovely half term break and return well rested and healthy on Monday 28th October.
