For 10 years, the Forum has been attended by 100,000+ HCPs and 5,000 reputable speakers and hosted 700+ conferences, symposia, seminars, and workshops.

The research and practical program of the Forum has traditionally been implemented as part of the VIII INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CONGRESS "Introduction of Modern Achievements of Medical Science into Healthcare Practice in Ukraine" as well as the IV International Healthcare Management Forum and offered many interesting events. All participants, such as representatives of local authorities, united territorial communities, owners and top managers of private medical clinics, businesses, top management of public health authorities, practitioners, medical and pharmaceutical professionals, heads and representatives of leading scientific, educational and medical institutions, associations, scientists, and nurses, got useful knowledge and skills at the Forum.

Notably, all the conference rooms were full: there was no free seat so visitors had to stand to hear speakers and many professional discussions continued after the official closing of the events.

AT IMF ONLY! Top-level lawmakers, doctors, and representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and United Territorial Communities of Ukraine had a dialogue at the 2nd All-Ukrainian Conference "Healthcare Accessibility and Quality in Rural Areas: Present and Future. View of the Regions" co-organized by the Association of United Territorial Communities and Medical Professional Events. The participants also discussed the progress of the medical reform, results and plans for the future and awarded the best united territorial communities for the progress achieved.

The conferences "From the Concept of Building to the Concept of Continuous Improvement of the National Healthcare System of Ukraine" (organized by the Ukrainian Medical Expert Community Public Platform), "Healthcare Organization and Management 2019" and "Modern HR Strategies for the Healthcare Sector" (organized by NMAPE Healthcare Management Department), and "Current Issues of School Medicine in the Context of Medical Sector Reform" (organized by the Institute of Children’s and Adolescents’ Health, National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine) drew a full house to their reports and presentations.

A UNIQUE EVENT! The SCHOOL FOR MANAGERS OF HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS, which is traditionally organized by the Healthcare Management Department of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, focused on the issues of reforming the medical sector and healthcare institutions. The report presented by Pavlo Kovtoniuk, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine, on how the secondary level of medical care will operate in the future was extremely interesting for visitors. Computer science and telemedicine technologies were also in the focus of discussions.

A practical session for HCPs – MEDICAL LAW SCHOOL – focused on legal cases and dealt with legal safety of HCPs in today’s socio-economic conditions.

Participants discussed cases when patients are dissatisfied with medical services and analyzed how money can be saved, how to respond to unusual patient behavior and new challenges in HCP’s practice, and what are the legal background for operation in the primary care setting during the transitional process of the medical reform (powers, responsibilities, liability and their balance), legal regulations and how HCPs operating in the primary care setting should cooperate with medical specialists. Radmila Grevtsova and Natalia Lisnevska were headlines of the event.

FOR THE FIRST TIME! The Medical Law School took courage and refused the traditional communication formats leaving reports behind the door of its conference room and giving preference to live communication and face-to-face discussions of urgent issues. And it was the right thing to do. Indeed, the audience was very exciting – three hours of communication just flew by and transformed into networking and informal talks over coffee.

The extended Consulting Seminar "Compliance with Licensing Conditions for Medical Practice" organized by the Legal Department of Medconsulting Company gave floor to leading medical lawyers who gave detailed answers to the compliance questions in medical practice.

TRADITIONALLY! Similar to the IMF, the practical conference "Private Medicine: Realities of Practice" organized by Medical Professional Events was also held for the tenth time.

Inspections of private medical business, HR for the market of private medicine, basic internal documentation, quality assurance of healthcare services by developing internal standards of a healthcare institution, securing agreements with a partner, special considerations of the implementation of JCI standards, optimization of tools and budgets for attracting patients to a clinic, a systematic approach to the management of a medical institution, the future of web-marketing in medicine and how to make a client to be your patient – all these issues gave rise to very active discussions.

AT IMF ONLY! The two-day Research & Practical Conference with International Participation "New Clinical Diagnostic Solutions and Advanced Analytical Technologies", co-organized by NMAPE and All-Ukrainian Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (in partnership with Diamedikh Impex Ltd.) was very interesting for top managers of clinical diagnostic laboratories and specialists in laboratory medicine.

Virologists, immunologists, and specialists in infectious diseases attended the Research & Practical Conference "Main Issues of Modern Infectology: Epidemiology, Etiology, Clinical Pattern, Treatment, Diagnostics, and Prevention" organized by L.V. Gromashevsky Institute of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine.

Innovative developments, fundamental research studies, modern aspects of therapeutic efficiency control and other related topics were the focus of the Research & Practical Conference "Scientific Developments and Their Use in Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Practice" (organized by NAMSU and NAMSU institutions – Laboratory and Metrology Service, Interinstitutional Reference Laboratory Center, and the National Research Center Acad. M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology).



TRADITIONALLY! At the UKRAINIAN LABORATORY SCHOOL, specialists checked practical skills and theoretical knowledge, got acquainted with new high-precision equipment, and reviewed typical errors and precision testing systems.

Seven various workshops were held by business companies: OPTEK Ltd., ZEISS Group, LLC "LABIKS", LABIX LLC, UKR DIAGNOSTICS, BioTestMed, Terra-Med, and INTELMED LLC.

FOR THE FIRST TIME! Lots of questions, active discussions, interesting reports, and modern treatments were discussed at the Research & Practical Conference "Birth Defects in Adults: Diagnostics and Treatment"(organized by Research & Practical Medical Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Department of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education) and the Research & Practical Conference "Modern Strategy of Radiation Diagnostics and Evaluation of the Therapeutic Efficacy in Patients with Small Pelvic Tumors" organized by the Research Department of Radiation Diagnostics at the National Cancer Institute.

Specialists in ultrasound diagnostics, radiologists, X-ray specialists, and oncologists attended another event – the Research & Practical Conference "Radiation Diagnostics. A Look into the Future" organized by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Diagnostics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

The seminar "Brachytherapy: Modern State and Problems" held by S.P. Grygoriev Institute of Medical Radiology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine was also a very interesting event for the specialists.

AT IMF ONLY! ALL-UKRAINIAN SCHOOL OF ULTRASONIC AND FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTICS: It's better to see once than to hear a hundred times.

Participants in the two-day School learned about the new functionality of modern ultrasound systems in multiparameter ultrasonic research, got acquainted with the peculiarities of ultrasound diagnostics of diverticular disease, received information on transient wave elastography of spleen and its importance in portal hypertension, learned about the technique of transient wave skin elastography, and reviewed the FATE protocol in emergency cardiology. Participants saw the state-of-the-art equipment presented by manufacturers.

The School was organized by the Association of Radiologists of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Specialists in Ultrasound Diagnostics, NMAPE Department of Radiation Diagnostics, and LMT Company.

Also, there were interesting reports from representatives of participating companies focused on modern Doppler sonography, ultrasound navigation at blockages at the neck level, duplex scanning of vessels of the neck, brain, and lower extremities, diagnostic station DS 20, and somnological aspects in functional diagnostics, detection of microcirculation disorders in clinical rheumatology and endocrinology, telemetric ECG diagnostics, and telemedicine diagnostics in the primary care setting.


The current state of family medicine in Ukraine was the key focus at the Research & Practical Conference "Current Issues of Family Medicine in Ukraine" (organized by the NMAPE Institute of Family Medicine and Health of Society International Association, NGO).

TRADITIONALLY! The main focus of the UKRAINIAN ACAD. M.D. STRAZHESKO SCHOOL OF CARDIOLOGY was the specialized and high-tech treatment of cardiovascular diseases and ongoing monitoring of patients. The Conference was organized by the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Association of Cardiologists of Ukraine, National Research Center Acad. M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology, NAMSU.

Modern approaches to the diagnostics, treatment and prevention of diseases of the internal organs were discussed at the 5th Anniversary THERAPY SCHOOL held by the NMAPE Department of Therapy.

Problems of diagnostics and treatment of GI diseases were studied at the symposium held by the Institute of Gastroenterology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

The NMAPE Department of Neurology No. 2 held an interesting event for neurologists and family doctors – Research & Practical Conference "Modern Approaches to Diagnostics and Treatment of Neurological Pathology", while L.T. Mala Institute of Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine organized the Research & Practical Conference "New Trends and Unresolved Issues in Prevention of Non-infectious Diseases".

The Research & Practical Conference for Young Scientists "Prospects for the Development of Preventive and Clinical Medicine", devoted to the 10th anniversary of the state research institution Research & Practical Center of Preventive and Clinical Medicine of the Administration of State Affairs, drew a full house to its presentations and reports.

A UNIQUE EVENT! There were two events for ophthalmologists: Research & Practical Conference "Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs in Ophthalmology: Trends of the Decade" (organized by the NMAPE Department of Ophthalmology) and Research & Practical Conference "Modern Issues of Ophthalmology" (organized by V.P. Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy, NAMSU and Association of Ophthalmologists of Ukraine, SCO).

The Symposium "Emergency Aid to Adults and Children in Medical Emergencies" organized by Special Training Center LLC brought together specialists in emergency medicine, first aid teams and staff of hospital admission units.

The reform of emergency medical aid in Ukraine, the integration of the system of emergency medical aid of Ukraine into the European Union, the basic principles of emergency medical aid, unresolved issues of psychological rehabilitation of veterans of the Antiterrorist Operation and the United Forces’ Operation and many other issues were discussed at the Symposium "Urgent Issues of Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine".




AT IMF ONLY! Several workshops were held as part of the SCHOOL OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL AID to present and demonstrate the best practice in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway patency in the field conditions, modern methods of stopping external bleeding, transcutaneous tracheostomy, basic and extended life support techniques if blood circulation and respiration stopped, and telemetric ECG diagnostics in ER team’s practice. This school was held by P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Department of Emergency Medicine, Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Training); Kyiv Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine Center; Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Department of Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine); Zaporizhia Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Department of Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine); NGO All-Ukrainian Association of Emergency, First Aid, and Disaster Medicine Professionals, and Kyiv City First Aid Clinical Hospital.

TRADITIONALLY! For the fifth year so far, the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine has held the Research & Practical Conference "Modern Methods of Medical Aid in Combat injuries and Medical & Social Rehabilitation of ATO Participants" for representatives of the relevant government authorities, top management of NAMS state institutions, military doctors, and rehabilitation specialists, while the Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Narcology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine has given a platform to discuss the related mental disorders at its seminar "Post-stress Psychiatric Disorders of Combatants and Civilians Surviving Combat Operations: Diagnostics, Treatment, and Rehabilitation".

A series of active conferences were focused on SURGERY, NEUROSURGERY, ENDOSCOPY, AND BURN INJURY MEDICINE to cover issues of endovascular neuroradiological surgery, surgical treatment of patients with pancreatic tumors, burn injury medicine, and reconstructive/restorative surgery. These conferences were organized by Research & Practical Center of Endovascular Neuroradiological Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Acad. A.P. Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery and O.O. Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Transplantology, and the NMAPE Chair of Burn Injury Medicine and Plastic Surgery.

FOR THE FIRST TIME! The Basic Surgical Skills Workshop "Live Surgery" trained basic surgical skills, skills of microsurgery, vascular and laparoscopic surgery.

Modern approaches to the diagnostics and treatment of injuries and diseases of large joints and the achievements of the Sytenko professional school in the treatment of patients with spinal pathology were discussed at the conferences organized by the NAMSU institutions – the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics and Prof. M.I. Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology.

The Research & Practical Conference "Neurorehabilitation and Neuroplasticity" gave platform to representatives of the Ukrainian Research & Practical Medical Center for Neurology and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Resort Specialists who shared their knowledge with visitors.

A UNIQUE EVENT! A very important topic was discussed by the experts of the National Cancer Institute at the Research & Practical Conference "Modern Trends in Diagnostics and Treatment of Malignancies".

TRADITIONALLY! The attention of obstetricians and gynecologists was drawn by Research & Practical Conference "Current Issues of High-risk Pregnancy" (organized by the Acad. O.M. Lukianova Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology), Research & Practical Conference "High-risk Pregnancy and Childbirth" (organized by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University), and a roundtable discussion "Simultaneous Interventions in Operative Gynecology" (organized by the Acad. O.M. Lukianova Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology).

A UNIQUE EVENT! Transfusion specialists and hematologists took part in the active discussion initiated by the speakers of the NAMSU Institute of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, NMAPE Departments of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine, and the NAMSU Institute of Blood Pathology and Transfusion Medicine as part of Research & Practical Conference with International Participation "Infusion/Transfusion Therapy in Hematology: Infectious Safety and Ways of Development of the Blood Service in Ukraine". Also, the educational-practical seminar with international participation "Creation of the National Blood System in Ukraine: Key Issues of Reform, Sustainable Development and Exchange of Experience" discussed key issues of the reform of the National Blood System in Ukraine.

Current problems of dermatovenereology were discussed at the Research & Practical Conference "Clinical and Epidemiological Peculiarities of Dermatoses and Sexually Transmitted Infections in the Modern Period. Innovative Methods of Diagnostics and Therapy in Dermatovenereology" organized by the NAMSU Institute of Dermatology and Venereology.

AT IMF ONLY! The UKRAINIAN NURSING SCHOOL: professionally, usefully, and "on one breath"! This event was sponsored by Becton Dickinson and Yuria-PHARM Corporation.

What a nurse should know, the legal boundaries of communication with patients and their relatives, first-aid methods in case of anaphylactic shock and nurse’s competences, urgent states, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the risk of infection from a puncture with infected needle, safety rules for nurses during injection and infusion therapy, measles vaccination, structured approach to evaluation and critical illness stabilization (PALS) according to the recommendations of the American Heart Association – all these issues and many others were discussed at the School.

A number of interesting events were held for managers of pharmacies, pharmacy assistants, and senior pharmacists to discuss the current state, development prospects, regulatory requirements and many other important industry-specific issues. These events were organized by the Ukrainian Pharmaceutical Quality Institute, Ukrainian Research Institute of Certification, UKRMEDCERT LLC, and NAMSU Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

The INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL FORUM "Innovations in Medicine – Health of the Nation" (IMF) has become a traditional spring event for our company, Canon Medical Systems, and a great opportunity to meet partners and friends and demonstrate the latest innovations and functionality of our equipment.

The IMF is an effi cient communication platform for all professionals of the medical sector, such as HCPs, manufacturers of equipment, instruments, pharmaceuticals and other medical products. This is a very good opportunity for professional networking where we can discuss urgent issues, share our experience, and see the latest developments in the medical market.

This year's IMF surprised us by the new venue and the number of visitors. We met our regular partners and new interesting contacts during all three days of the exhibition.

We would like to say thank-you to LMT Company, the organizer of the 10th International Medical Forum "Innovations in Medicine – Health of the Nation", for creating a professional atmosphere at the Forum and conferences mostly held by Expo organizers.

The target audience that visited our conference included HCPs and medical specialists interested in innovative methods in the treatment and prevention of small pelvic diseases.

Next year, we will defi nitely join the Forum as participants and would like to hold a conference at the Forum.

Hello! I am very satisfi ed with the MedForum. I listened to Pavlo Kovtoniuk’s presentation – he talked about where the industry is moving (the fi rsthand information) and talked to colleagues. I liked the Poltava’s report and experience. I saw the medical companies where we can buy equipment for our Primary Medical Aid Center (I saw how it worked at the exhibition). I heard interesting things about building telemedicine space and ongoing professional development for doctors. I accompanied doctors who attended Cardiology and Family Medicine sections – we got certifi cates of attendance and were not left hungry. Everything is thought out and organized at a very high level!

I was very pleased to see a wide range of representatives / manufacturers of medical products at the Forum. This allowed you to hold meetings with many representatives and in the shortest possible time, to discuss the issues of interest, and to get acquainted with what they off er with your own eyes. Seminars and conferences were also very useful as they dealt with regulatory environment and the ways of resolving some challenging issues in declaring product compliance with technical regulations.
