ESI Ergonomic Solutions was started in 1988 as a woman-owned business selling mostly wrist rest pads, keyboard trays and back rests. John and Carol Keogh purchased the company in 2000, continuing the woman-owned business status. We have successfully held a GSA Contract since 1997. Today, ESI supplies a full line of ergonomic work tools including adjustable height tables, monitor arms, LED lighting and wall-mounted computer workstations along with the traditional keyboard trays and foot rests. Commercial furniture dealers are the main distributors of our product. ESI sells to dealers through a large group of 108 Independent Representatives.

9. What differentiates your company from competitors? At ESI Ergonomic Solutions, we differentiate ourselves first and foremost through our exceptional customer service specialists. We have been presented with countless awards for the “Best Customer Service”. We believe that a knowledgeable customer service team that is empowered to make critical decisions is a core differentiator. ESI has another significant advantage which is that we ship most products in 48 hours. Unlike our competitors that have a limited amount of “Quick Ship” items, 90% of ESI’s product line is included in the 48 hour shipping program. ESI also encompasses an initiative to keep a controlled focus on our product line and maintain competitive pricing. We keep our focus primarily on ergonomic work tools and height adjustable products in an effort to be the best in our industry. We consistently monitor our competitors to ensure we are prices at or below the market norm.

10. Describe how your company will market this contract if awarded. If awarded, ESI will utilize our entire Independent Rep Network, Regional Managers and Direct Sales Managers to market this contract. We plan to create and make available on our website, co-branded cut sheets for our most popular product for sales personal to use in their markets. We will send out an ESI product catalog along with a letter introducing ourselves to the NCPA Member List provided us upon award. We will include this announcement in our monthly “Ergo Times” e-newsletter that is emailed to our direct mail list of customers including dealers, sales people, end-users and public sector customers. There will be a dedicated page on our website including the NCPA and Region 14 ESC logos and dedicated NCPA Price List available for download. Also included on this page will be a link to the NCPA and Region 14 ESC website to make it easy for potential customers to become members of NCPA so that they can purchase from our contract. A list of participating dealers and their contact information will also be available. Ordering Instructions including a summary of the contract and services offered will also be available for download from this web page. We will also perform our due diligence in complying with all document requirements. In addition, we will communicate this announcement and contract summary to all current State and GSA customers. In fact, the State of Texas and State of Washington Universities have specifically requested that they be able to purchase through the NCPA Contract which is the initial catalyst of our proposal. 11. Describe how you intend to introduce NCPA to your company. If awarded, ESI plans to conduct Webinars as well as provide printed sales material to first train our Regional Managers, Direct Sales Managers and Independent Rep Network. They will then go out to the dealers and public sector customers in their territories and communicate this information. Our extensive representation allows regular visits by ESI sales personal to dealers that are servicing your members. We also plan to provide additional information when conduct sales training in Chicago before the NeoCon Trade Show which our entire sales team attends.

Our on-line ordering is mainly focused on small quantity end-used and SOHO sales. NCPA members will be utilizing our Dealers’ on-line ordering sites.

13. Describe your company’s Customer Service Department (hours of operation, number of service centers, etc.

ESI is well-known for a responsive and empowered customer service team as mentioned in #20 above. The most overwhelming aspect of our customer service mission is that We Answer the Phone! There are no automated systems here at ESI. We believe in the importance of direct and immediate communication with our dealers and customers. Phil Hansen, our Customer Service Manager, has been with ESI for the past 5 years and has built an exceptional team of specialists. They receive constant product training not only on ESI products, but also on products currently being introduced and used throughout the office furniture industry that relate to ESI product in some way. ESI Customer Support is comprised of 5 Customer Service Specialists, a Product Specialist that is available to communicate with dealers and customers directly, and our Customer Service Manager. They are all equally trained to answer product and account questions no matter the part of the World the request originates from. Our Product Specialist and one of our Customer Service Specialists are bi-lingual to enhance the experience of our Spanish-speaking callers. Customer Support is available from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Arizona Time, Monday through Friday. 14. Green Initiatives -

As our business grows, we want to make sure we minimize our impact on the Earth’s climate. We are taking every step we can to implement innovative and responsible environmental practices throughout NCPA to reduce our carbon footprint, reduce waste, energy conservation, ensure efficient computing and much more. To that effort we ask respondents to provide their companies environmental policy and/or green initiative.

ESI is committed to being environmentally friendly – through the products we offer and in how we operate as a company. Pledges we have made to reduce our carbon footprint: • Comply with all current energy legislation, seeking to meet or exceed legislative targets. • Incorporate a Sustainable Sourcing Pol icy. Our goal is to design and produce several products that are 100% recyclable, as well as products made entirely of recycled material. Many products actually encompass both attributes. • Minimize waste, promote recycling and the use of recycled products to help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.

• Use of biodegradable air pillows instead of peanuts for packaging. • Use of boxes and cartons made from 99% post- consumer recycled material that is 100% recyclable. • Move toward paper less literature – we are printing 50% less catalogs and marketing literature and instead have them available on our website. • Use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified paper for printed literature materials. • Utilize local business for various projects including printing and custom metal work to reduce the carbon footprint of shipping these products. • End of Life (EOL) procedures for equipment including donating, refurbishing and recycling whenever possible instead of just placing in a landfill. • Promote environmental awareness and responsibility amongst employees and others, and seek to continuously improve Company environmental performance. Actions we have taken to reduce our carbon footprint in terms of how we designed our building and grounds: • Our facility in Arizona was built with sustainability in mind. The material we chose in construction and landscaping and interior choices were used to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. • Reflective paint was used on the roof to deflect the heat. • Skylights and windows are plentiful throughout the building to leverage the use of natural light. • The grounds were designed with xeriscape landscaping to reduce the use of supplemental water. • Bamboo, a highly renewable resource, was used on the internal stairs. In addition, ESI has also begun the process of obtaining BIFMA e3 level certification on some of our best-selling products.
