WHAT IS XTREME DESCENT?On Saturday, September 24, 2011, 100 of the statesmost thrill-seeking individuals will take part in the ThirdAnnual Xtreme Descent, rappelling down the 24-storyBrady Sullivan Plaza in Manchester, New Hampshire!Reveal Your Inner Superheroand help raise money forScouting by taking part in this urban rappelling challenge!

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?Individuals aged 14 and up and weighing at least 110pounds can participate in the event. You can rappel atXtreme Descent by donating a minimum of $750 ($500for youth and adults registered with the BSA). Better yet,get two other friends to participate with you and form ateam! You are encouraged to request sponsorships fromfriends and family to assist you in securing your donationand online fundraising tools are available. Corporatesponsorship packages are also available. Donations arefully tax-deductible in accordance with the law.

WHO BENEFITS?All proceeds from the event will benefit the NewHampshire Scouting programs of the Daniel WebsterCouncil. For over 100 years, the Boy Scouts of Americahas helped young men and women become better citizensand leaders using the great outdoors as a classroom.Your donation helps support year-round and summercamp programs for the over 16,000 youth involved in

the Daniel Webster Council.

WHY IS IT SAFE?This event is being produced by Over the Edge, a fullyinsured professional rappelling organization that hasworked with various non-profit groups throughout NorthAmerica to help raise money for their cause. Youre inexpert hands from the minute you harness up, to thesecond youre off rappel at the bottom. All equipment,practices, and procedures used are approved by Federaland State OSHA, Workers Compensation, and IndustrialRope Access Trade Association.
