INTRODUCTIONWith the XML sitemap extension, you can easily generate a customizable XML sitemap. No need to add an enhanced sitemap file manually as the module creates it at a specified frequency. The purpose of creating an XML sitemap is to help search engines crawlers learn more about the website structure and decrease the possibility of overlooking some pages. As a result, the web spiders are instructed properly, and indexing of the website content is getting faster.

- Easily configure XML sitemap. Make general and individual settings for the store content.- Include all page links. Add category, product, CMS pages as well as additional links to a sitemap.- Exclude out of stock products. Hide out of stock products from the list.- Add products videos. Include videos to a sitemap file.- Inform about content updates. Set frequency of updates for each group of links.- Define priority of pages. These 3 fields are configured in each content type.

Choose from the dropdown how frequently the page

content is updated: always, hourly, daily, weekly,

monthly, yearly, never.

To add Home page to the sitemap select ‘Yes’.

Specify a value between 0.0 and 1.0 to set the the page priority importance.

Set ‘Yes’ to get products that are out of stock in the sitemap.

Select from the dropdown what products images to include: base, all, or none.

Specify the time to begin generation. Select the hour, minute and second to update a sitemap.

To generate a sitemap, set “Yes.”

Set the frequency to start: daily, weekly, monthly.

Specify the contact to be the sender of the error notification.

Enter the email address to receive a notification if an error occurs during update.

Sitemap file must have no more than 50,000 URLs and must be no larger than 50MB (52,428,800 bytes).

Specify the max number of URLs a sitemap file can contain.

Indicate the file size in bytes.

Set ‘Yes’ to add the sitemap location (URL) to the robots.txt file. This file provides instructions to search engines that crawl the site.

Switch to ‘No’ to exclude a category from a sitemap. Switch to ‘No’ to change the common

settings applied to all categories.

Go to Catalog > Categories, select the desired category and find the Sitemap Settings tab.

If the common settings are not used, the following fields are required to be set for the selected category.

Go to Content > Pages, select a page from the grid and open it in edit mode, then find the Sitemap Settings tab.

Additional Links ConfigurationFor the settings, go to Marketing > Additional Links.

Click ‘Edit’ to change the link configurations.

Fill in the path to indicate where the sitemap file is to be located on the server.

Tap the Save & Generate button to complete and the sitemap appears in the grid.

Enter the filename. For example: sitemap.xml
