Class routines and rules
We also have new daily routines: 1. Stay in your bubbles at break and lunch. 2. We no longer change into PE kits. 3. Wash and sanitise your hands regularly,
especially when leaving or entering the classroom and before eating.
4. Use your own pencils and items from your pack with no sharing.
5. Please keep hands away from your face and fingers out of mouths and noses!
Here are the class rules for Year 2: 1. Treat people with respect and use kind words at all times.
Always have kind hands and feet. 2. Use your manners and value everybody equally. 3. Put your hand up if you want to speak. When someone is
speaking show good listening by looking at the person talking and not interrupting them.
4. Take care of the things in the classroom and school around you. 5. Always try your best! 6. If you need help with your work always ask an adult, don’t
struggle in silence.
Curriculum for this Half-Term
This half term in year 2 we have been learning about our class names. In English we have been doing research , writing reports and making posters. We have also been learning about nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
In maths we have been learning/revising place value and addition facts, using Dienes to help us.
Our topic in religious education is Judaism. We have been busy learning about ball skills and travelling in physical education. Our topics have covered map skills; continents, oceans and countries of the UK.
In science we have been learning about living, dead and never alive and plants.
