Monday Week 8

Make an Array CityYou will need:

Scissors Glue Min of 3 sheets of coloured paper

Pencil Activity:1. On one piece of paper draw the outline of a tall building. Cut the building and glue it on to another

piece of paper. (you can use white paper and colour in the rectangles)2. Using your third piece of paper, draw some rectangles. The rectangles are going to be the lights of

your building. 3. Cut out the lights (rectangles) and arrange them into arrays (rows). Your array could be 3 rows of 3, 5

rows of 2, 4 rows of 3. The choice is yours. 4. Underneath your building write the lights as a multiplication sum and repeated addition sum. For

example “My lights are in an array of 3 rows of 4. This would be 3 x 4 and 3+3+3+3+3.”5. You can make as many buildings as you like to make a city. Each building should have a different array

of lights to make it unique!
