Learning behaviours
• The Westall Way Learning Behaviours are a set ofexpectations that bring together the College’s Values, aswell as the existing Code of Cooperation for JuniorSchool, Middle School and Senior School.
• The learning behaviours are not a set of traditionalschool rules, but a set of agreed behaviours that allstudents should endeavor to demonstrate in College life.
• The Westall Way Learning Behaviours have been createdby College Leadership team and the StudentRepresentative Council, in consultation with the widerCollege staffing body.
• The Westall Way Learning Behaviours will be displayed inevery classroom in the College, meaning easy access forstaff and students, with all stakeholders being able toreference the framework in class.
Rewards System• The Westall Way Rewards System is a student reward program that
encourages students to display The Westall Way Learning Behaviours in all aspects of College life.
• Students can earn ‘Westall points’ for consistently demonstrating positive learning behaviours, as well as for all one-off achievements that celebrate the Westall Way.
What are Westall Points?
• Westall Points are earned for consistently demonstrating one or more of the Westall Way Learning Behaviours, or for a one-off achievement that demonstrates that students are behaving and learning in the Westall Way.
What will Westall Points be awarded for?
• Staff will use a scale provided to allocate Westall points to students. The following scale will require a degree of interpretation from a staff member, but points could be awarded as follows:
3 P o i n t s An outstanding one-off award or achievement, or a response to a situation e.g. being a buddy for a new student or helping an elderly member of the community who fell.
2 P o i n t s Significant contribution to a program or initiative in the College community e.g. assisting with a College tour or outstanding academic growth e.g. D to a B grade
1 P o i n t s Consistently displaying Westall Way learning behaviours over the period of a week e.g. 100% attendance
• ALL students are expected to have their own laptop (no iPads or tablets).• Your device MUST be brought to school every day and be charged overnight.• Your device is important for communication, as well as completing learning
tasks (MS Teams, Compass etc).• See https://www.westallsc.vic.edu.au/byod-program for information on
device requirements.• Students without a device are expected to loan one from the library on a daily
basis (collect 8.30-8.55am and return 3.15-3.35pm).

iCreate is an elective program for all students in years 7 to 12 where students have the opportunity to follow their passions by undertaking projects in mixed age classes.

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF):
The CSEF is an annual payment to the school to be used towards camps, sports and/or excursion expenses for the benefit of the eligible student:
