Basic Information Regarding the Sacraments

Holy Eucharist We truly believe in the Body and Blood of Christ that was broken and shed for us! We ask that you be in good standings with the Lord as you join us for every Mass for Holy Eucharist. All are Welcome to

His table!! “Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life … For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood

remains in me, and I in him … so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.’”

Religious Education: “Not a Fan”

"I am sure of this much: that He Who has begun the good work in you will carry it

through to completion, right up to the day of Christ Jesus." —Philippians 1:6

The effects of Jesus' Christmas coming are inexpressible and unimaginable (see Eph 3:20; 1 Cor 2:9). Even the preparations for His coming are of colossal proportions.

"Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be leveled. The windings

shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth" (Lk 3:5). "For God has com-manded that every lofty mountain be made low, and that the age-old depths and

gorges be filled to level ground" (Bar 5:7). After such mountain-moving preliminaries,

Jesus' Christmas coming will effect a heart-moving response, "and all mankind shall

see the salvation of God" (Lk 3:6).

Do you believe that the Lord's coming this Christmas will be as life-changing and

world-transforming as the Advent Scriptures seem to indicate? If you do, you should

throw yourself into this Advent, fill in valleys by repentance, move mountains by faith

(Mt 17:20), straighten the crooked ways by healing, and smooth the rough ways by

forgiveness. "Make ready the way of the Lord, clear Him a straight path" (Lk 3:4).

A Visit to Heaven

After explaining to my 5-year-old daughter that my grandfather had died and I was

going to fly out of town for a couple of days, she went to school and told her teacher a

different version of the story: "My great-grandpa died, my mommy had to go to

heaven to see him, and my daddy's going there to pick her up tomorrow!"

The "Cards of the Deck" is a social club that we are

forming right now by

taken person’s informa-

tion so we can plan a

date for this group to

meet. Anyone who

is 50 years old or

older is welcome to

join us. We play bingo,

cards, games, and enjoy

each others’ company.

Our plan for this group

is to meet with our first

meeting as a business

meeting followed by bingo and then cards.

Then the second meeting we celebrate the birthdays

of our members during that month and then play

cards and socialize. Then the third meeting we have

a potluck where all the members bring a dish. After

the potluck we play cards and socialize. The fourth

meeting will be a Mass and offer any prayers and

t h e n p l a y g a m e s .

When there are five weeks in a month the Mass and

prayers are scheduled for that day rather than the

fourth Thursday. If you are seeking companionship

and want to meet new people, Please email the Par-

ish Office if you would like to be added to the list

and be informed of all the dates and when this Min-

istry will start.

The Giving Tree

Share Christ’s

love and bring

smiles to children

and families for

Christmas. We

have a number

of families in our

community who

are unable to buy their child a gift for Christ-

mas. With your help, we can make sure that

each child receives at least one gift.

Please just pick a gift, wrap it and tag it then

take it to Community Hope before Christmas.

Continue to pray and help another child

throughout the season of Advent.

We gather to understand our life and where God is calling us! Am I meant to be

a part of St. Maximilian Kolbe? Will this help me in my life, how can I share

about my faith with others?, family? Then this group will help you answer many

of those questions! If your unhappy with the parish you are with or unsure where

God wants you in His plan, please call or email us and allow us to help you.

Pastor’s Notes

During this time of Advent we recall what we need to finish in preparing our minds and

souls for the Second Coming. We check our list to see if we have finished our Bible Stud-

ies, or have we read the Christmas Story. In this time of preparing we look within our

souls to recall the things we have yet to finish or we have just set aside and wait to finish—

we think about how we can be closer to Christ this Advent.

We need to understand ourselves before we tend to our other needs in life, we need to ac-

cept the King of Kings before its to late and allow His stories and love to usher in our soul.

Keep reading and studying for this is the 2nd Sunday of Advent.

JMJ, +M.J.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We

believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our

Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed

blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and

glory.

We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of

Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe in and practice the holy ordinance of water baptism, which signifies the believer's

death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ Jesus, and the regular celebration of Holy Communion as commanded

by our Lord.

We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the

unsaved; those that are saved into the resurrection of life and those that are unsaved into the resurrection of death.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
