The Importance of Reading to Your Children
April 2nd is “Children’s Book Day” so we would like to emphasize a few of the many
benefits that come with reading to your child.
Strengthens parent and child relationships.
Improves speech and the desire to learn by reading.
Enhances concentration and communication skills.
By setting aside just a few moments each day to sit and read with your child, it will
begin creating a foundation for a love of learning as well as contributes to developing
a parent/child bond that will last a lifetime.
**At this time we are accepting book donations through Scholastic Reader for
your child’s classroom through April 3rd, if you would like to participate
please stop by the front desk. **
