WHO WE ARE Young Professionals in Foreign Policy fosters the next generation of foreign policy leaders by providing young professionals with the knowledge, skills, exposure and relationships to tackle critical global challenges over the course of their careers. Founded in 2004, YPFP has grown to over 7,000 members worldwide, with branches in Brussels, London, New York and Washington, DC. Our members realize that no one joins the field of foreign policy to work in a vacuum. We recognize the need for collaboration, communication and shared learning experience. YPFP provides those valuable opportunities to our members, which is why our mission has resonated with young professionals around the globe. 2011 HIGHLIGHTS WHAT WE Do We set out to build a community that reflects our understanding of the world, the global challenges we will face and the leadership that will be required to overcome them. YPFP members engage one another on a wide range of foreign policy issues through innovative programming with todayʼs foreign policy leaders and experts. YPFPʼs speaker series, discussion groups, conferences, online resources, membership activities and leadership initiatives offer our members the opportunity to expand their knowledge, learn new skills and develop relationships that will last a lifetime. YPFPʼs three public service programs serving refugees, veterans and urban youth reflect our commitment to ethical leadership.
