Sunday: Evening Meal

The hope is that everybody in the Young Planners Workshop will attend a group meal on Saturday evening. The meal will begin at 7:30 pm. It will be held at Monk, Rue Sainte-Catherine 42, 1000 Bruxelles. The location is shown on the map below:

In order to speed up ordering on the night, the intention is to order from the same set menu. Orders will be taken during the day on Saturday. We anticipate that the cost of this set meal will be circa 20-25 euros per person. Payments will be made individually at the restaurant and all additional drinks will need to be paid for separately.

Sunday: Evening Drinks

Following the evening meal on Saturday evening, all participants will be free to spend their evening as they wish. For those who do not have any fixed plans, or wish to spend their evening with the group, we suggest wandering together for drinks at the Délirium Café.

Délirium Café is known for stocking more than 2000 types of beer and, for those with the enthusiasm, is open until 4am. It is located a couple of hundred metres from the Grand Place and the Jeanneke Pis statue is across the street from the entrance. The address is Impasse de la Fidélité 4, 1000 Bruxelles (+32 2 514 44 34). The location is shown on the map below:

Monday: Workshops (Location)

The workshops will be hosted at the same venue as the XIth European Urban and Regional Planning Awards. Arrivals are from 10am onwards and it is important that all attendees arrive in advance of the formal welcome to the Committee of the Regions by Mrs Hella Dunger-Loper and Mr Joris Sheers at 10.30am. The workshops and awards will take place at the Comité des Régions, where we anticipate the morning being centred around Atrium 5 and the afternoon in JDE 51. Please note, however, that the exact locations may be subject to change, for which reason all participants should seek to arrive early where possible. Please also allow additional time to pass through security control. The Comité des Régions is located in Bâtiment Jacques Delors, Rue Belliard 101, B-1040 Bruxelles. The exact location is shown on the maps below:

There are various ways to reach the Bâtiment Jacques Delors, although the easiest walking routes are from either Maelbeek or Schuman Metro stations. The journey from Maelbeek is slightly longer, although in both cases the walk takes approximately 10 minutes.
