Important Back to School Information

WSE ~ SAFE AND RESPECTFUL SCHOOL At WSE, we commit to providing our students and staff with a safe, respectful and loving environment focused upon our three goals: whole child, student-centered and engage community. To that end, our students and families are essential as partners to ensure our learning community is safe and respectful for all. Throughout the year, students will be engaged in classroom and counselor lessons on various topics including bullying. If bullying occurs, students must report it immediately to allow staff members to act in a swift manner for resolution. Below is a direct link to report bullying at WSE. We encourage parents and guardians to discuss bullying reporting modes with their children. Bullying Reporting Link

Blue Valley School District News

Middle School Study Task Force applications available Blue Valley Schools made a commitment to look at middle school programming in our quest to identify the best practices for middle schools. As we continue our work this year, we are inviting parents to join the conversation through a Middle School Study Task Force. The task force will receive updates, view progress and access data and research. The group's purpose will be to serve in an advisory capacity to the superintendent and the Board of Education regarding any and all recommended middle school enhancements. Parents interested in serving on the task force are encouraged to complete an application by Sept. 6. Appointments to the task force will be chosen by lottery and will ensure representation from all nine middle schools. More information about the application is available on the Middle School Study web page.

Dates for Middle School Study Task Force meetings All meetings are scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m.

September 27 November 29 February 21

October 11 December 7 March 21

October 25 December 11 April 11

November 8 January 24 May 9

Applicants not selected in the lottery process are invited to attend meetings as an observer. All task force meetings are open to the public. We look forward to partnering with the task force as we continue to look for opportunities to provide the best experience possible for our middle school students.
