The Hall looked fantastic, the evening ran well and everyone seemed to have a great night and went home bursting at the seams! A massive thank you also to those who entered all the amazing dishes, the fundraising committee and school support staff, for organising and running such a successful event. We raised just over $3,850 dollars. Wow! Once we have decided what this will go towards we will let you know. You may or may not have noticed but usually our newsletter comes out every fortnight. We are changing the structure of this, we will now only be producing 3 newsletters a term. If there are any community notices in the mean time these can be forwarded via e mailed through the office. A lot of people are now utilising the Community Facebook page , where people are regularly selling items, posting road updates and seeking general infor- mation. Week 5, Term 2, 2017 From the Principal’s Chair Kia ora tena koutou katoa On behalf of the children, myself and Jo we would like to extend a very huge thank you to

all the community for your support with The Great Tora Cook off held at the Communi-

ty hall on Saturday night.

The Hall looked fantastic, the evening ran well and everyone seemed to have a great night

and went home bursting at the seams!

Thank you …... To our ex teacher aide Paddy Twist who popped into School earlier this week to say Hi. What a nice surprise, and of course in true Paddy style she came bearing gifts . The children ( and Miss Persico) were delighted to re-ceive a big cookie time bucket full of pens! Thanks for remembering us Pad-dy and for the visit and the pens it was great to see you Also a big Thank you to someone who donated some pencils and rub-bers to the school, these will be well used by all the children. We would love to know who this was. And to Fiona Firth who gave up her whole weekend a few weeks back to organise the Masterton Collie Club Dog trial food. The Club donat-ed $500 to the school for all Fiona’s Hard work ! WOW thanks Fiona I think you deserve another holiday!
