I say conscious because without awareness of the experience you cannot experience. Have
you ever heard of the expression, “if a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it, did it fall?” If you aren't conscious of the tree falling, then
for you personally, it didn't. Another way to see this is when some thing is moving so quickly
you no longer notice. You're not aware you did not experience it.
