YouTube Gaming on the Android and iOS app is now available to download in India.
It’s a competitor to Amazon’s Twitch, the service extensively focuses on gaming con-
tent.
With more than 25,000 dedicated game pages, the
app supports recorded game play videos and
live streams.
The YouTube Gaming platform gives hardcore
gamers an option to broadcast their game
play on the web.

This app allows the game lovers to record and stream their game sessions live,
using the front facing camera and the microphone.
Another exclusive feature added to YouTube gaming , is pop out playback,
which overlays the playback of the video in the corner of the screen.

The side bar is now replaced with a top bar for navigation.
User can browse live streams, channels or popular games.
As per the user’s activity watching suggestions are given.
Live chat is available on the streams.
Google ensures that only the most interesting videos and

feature missing from Amazon’s Twitch.

Google has removed the sidebar. Now, there are four tabs; home, game collection, channels and live games.
Home tab’s top section shows live stream of top five games, and below that have the recommended videos.
Games tab’s top section shows collection of six games and
byclicking ‘show all games’ , user can explorepopular,
trending and recommended live games.
The channels tab shows all the featured, available and
already subscribed channels.
The last is the live tab where user can click on individual
games and follow the live stream broadcasted by users.

Top right corner of the app, user has manage profile button, search and live stream option.
By clicking on live stream, user can either ‘record or live stream’ (720p) or SD (480p) content.
Anything on the screen, be it calls, notifications, and more, will be
recorded or streamed. Mic will capture audio from the speaker and
surroundings.
This app supports floating pop-out player.
Which allows the user to overlay the playback, to use other apps simultaneously.
The pop-out player has a smaller resolution and it cannot be resized

YouTube Gaming is built to pull gaming-related content. Which means,
if user voice searches for “Call of Duty,” it will show the videos
related to game, and not the music video of Carly Rae
Jepsen’s ‘Call Me MayBe.’
