YWCA IS A LEADING FEMINIST ORGANISATION WITH A STRONG NATIONAL VISION SUPPORTED BY LOCAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.
TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Western NSW Region
As a national organisation, we have the expertise and experience to understand the systemic issues and barriers faced by women, young women and girls in Australia.
On a local level, we connect, consult with and support individuals and their communities to get a real, personal perspective on these systemic issues and barriers.
We offer a range of programs, services and support in areas such as leadership, housing, homelessness, safety and wellbeing.
Importantly, we advocate on behalf of women, young women and girls to make sure the issues they face are brought to the attention of decision makers.

We have a vision for a future where all women, young women and girls are safe and respected, with equal access to power, opportunity and resources.
INCREASING SAFETY AND WELLBEINGWe provide programs and services to improve the lives of women, young women and girls all over Australia, including education, training, employment support, health, child protection, crisis support, disability support services and primary prevention of gender-based violence.
We’re proud of the work we do, and are committed to delivering high impact, evidence-based programs and services across Australia’s diverse social and geographic landscape.
‘The Women of Worth program has helped me see my potential.’

‘Prior to being housed through YWCA, I was living on the streets. I am so grateful, and so happy to be here. We are all women sharing one house, who support and look out for each other.’

SUPPORTING HOUSINGThrough our subsidiary organisations, YWCA National Housing and YWCA Housing, we support women in vulnerable situations with housing and homelessness support services.
We create innovative housing solutions for the growing number of older Australian women experiencing homelessness and housing unaffordability, who have often experienced domestic and family violence.
DEVELOPING LEADERSWe run leadership and mentoring programs, including a mentoring program for young women in the child protection system, leadership coaching for young women and culturally-aware leadership programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
These programs help to build self-awareness and self-confidence and empower and activate women and girls to reach their potential.
FOR THE FUTURE
