Lesson 1 – Are We There Yet?

Desired pupil outcome: Learn with Resilience / Collaborate with Integrity

Pupils become a more confident person while working cooperatively as they

identify parts of the school.

Reflection:

Colour the faces to show how you feel about the activity that you have

completed.

Snack Break (10 mins break given any time between 11.45am to 12.15pm)

• Snack break is purely for ensuring pupils to get an extra boost of food to last them till lunch time. It is not a replacement for the lunch break or recess.

• Pupils are not allowed to eat a full meal.

• Ensure that the food brought or bought is healthy and that there is sufficient time to consume it.

• Those with no snacks may choose to stretch.

What you can bring

• Strongly encouraged to eat a small bun, a sandwich, cut fruits, a small packet of cereal or biscuits.

• Strongly encouraged to always buy food with the ‘Healthier Choice’ symbol.

• Pack snacks in a lunchbox so that you can learn to eat without making a mess in the classroom.

The items above are some of the food choices NOT ALLOWED for snack breaks

Admin Matters Parents are to submit any medical condition / allergies pertaining to their children

to the school.

P1 pupils are allowed to wear their P.E. attire to school on PE/PAL days.

Pupils are encouraged to carry their water-bottle with them during P.E. lessons.

Water-bottle should contain water and not any other flavoured drinks.

Parents who pack Recess meal for their children are encouraged to pack a

‘Healthy Meal’.

P.E. teachers responsibility is also to monitor pupils BMI, (refer to the Pupils Diary

for your child’s BMI). We like to partner parents to ensure that your child is at an

Acceptable BMI and not underweight or overweight.
