La ciudad de Manta se ha convertido en uno de los mayo-res polos de crecimiento y desarrollo del país. Es un puerto turístico y pesquero, recibe un promedio de 25 cruceros por temporada, con visitantes de todas partes del mundo y tiene de todo para satisfacer las necesidades de quienes lo visitan.

En honor a estos antecedentes, la municipalidad de la ciudad, bajo la administración de su alcalde el Ing. Jorge Zambrano y en trabajo conjunto con la Ing. Andrea Zambrano, Directora de Turismo del GAD, han emprendido la tarea de posicionar a Manta como el principal destino turístico del país.

Los innumerables atractivos que Manta ofrece a los turistas hablan por sí solos. Cuenta con más de 10 playas a su haber, cada una de ellas con características propias, en cuanto a biodiversidad y ecosistema. Un gran ejemplo es la reserva de producción Faunístico Costera PACOCHE, ubicada en la playa de San Lorenzo, dónde se alberga una importante va-riedad de fauna marina y terrestre, siendo una de las especies con gran protagonismo, la tortuga de mar, quien ha escogido este territorio para su anidación.

A vísperas del mes de agosto, temporada que se caracteriza por la visita de turistas, en gran parte de la sierra, Manta se prepara para recibir, de la mejor manera, a quienes escogen visitarla, por esta razón se han planificado actividades de mucha categoría, entre las cuales se destacan la Ruta del Pa-cífico del IRONMAN, La Final del Encebollado y una serie de shows artísticos.

The city of Manta has become one of the major growth and de-velopment poles of the country. It is a tourist and fishing port, receives an average of 25 cruises per season, with visitors from all over the world, and has everything to satisfy the needs of those who visit it.

A great example is the PACOCHE reserve, a coastal produc-tion reserve located on the beach of San Lorenzo, home to a great variety of marine and terrestrial wildlife like the sea turtle, which is one of the species with great prominence who have chosen this territory for its nesting.

On the eve of August, when a lot of tourists arrive mainly from the highlands, Manta prepares to receive in the best way all its visitors, offering activities of great category, which include the IRONMAN Pacific route, the Final of the “Encebollado” and a lot of a art shows.

Si hablamos de pescados, entre los mejores candidatos se puede destacar al famoso camotillo, un pez que por su exigente dieta a base de camarones, ofrece una carne blanca, de textura suave y sabor agradable. Sin embargo, un filete de pez espada a la plancha, un filete de picudo o dorado apanados, no dejan de ser un deleite para el paladar.

Han pasado ocho años desde que Antonio Córdova Mora lle-gó al puerto manabita. Con un mínimo capital de inversión y enfrentándose a los riesgos que conlleva convertir un sueño en realidad, este jóven emprendedor decidió apostar por la industria de los bares.

Su primera propuesta se origina en el año 2007 con el nombre de Banawild. Más tarde en el 2010, Voodo Lounge fue la mar-ca del nuevo concepto recreado por Antonio.

Transcurrido algún tiempo, el trabajo y la perseverancia se con-virtieron en la experiencia necesaria para dar origen a lo que desde el 2012 y hasta hoy en día resulta fácil describir en pocas palabras: música en vivo, excelentes tragos, comida deliciosa, en el mejor ambiente. Y ahora también, la discoteca ONE DAN-CE CLUB, ubicada en la Av. Flavio Reyes.

Gracias al constante flujo de turistas que recibe el puerto Ma-nabita, su vida nocturna es muy activa. La ciudad ofrece diver-sas opciones de entretenimiento, empezando por la tradicional zona rosa, ubicada a lo largo de la Av. Falvio Reyes, sector en el que se encuentra una gran variedad de bares y discotecas bastante concurridas.

No obstante, con el pasar de los años, Manta se ha extendido y los lugares de diversión se han repartido por distintos puntos de la ciudad, como es al sur, lo que se conoce como la vía a Bar-basquillo, donde se han establecido una gama de restaurantes, lounge y bares de ambiente muy atractivo.

Avanzando un poco más al sur, en las afueras del hotel Manta Host, se encuentra Plaza del Sol, un centro de afluencia noc-turna que ofrece excelentes lugares entre discotecas, bares y restaurantes, para pasar un momento ameno.

Independientemente del sitio que se decida visitar, hay que decir que lo que caracteriza a la noche Mantense es el ca-lor de su gente, su hospitalidad y la belleza de sus mujeres.
