How to Use This Ministry Directory:

As you seek to grow in your spiritual journey, we encourage you to use this guide to find the right places for you to worship, connect, and serve. We believe that your spiritual growth can be accelerated by engaging in a combination of these three spiritual venues. First, we encourage you to participate in weekend worship services where you can be ushered into the presence of the Lord through corporate worship and relevant, engaging study of the Bible. Second, we encourage you to experience life with others in a church ministry, church Bible study, or community group where you can form deep and lasting friendships, grow in your walk with the Lord with others, and reach out to our surrounding community with friends. Third, we encourage you to use your God-given spiritual gifts, passions and interests, abilities, personality, and experience to make a positive, lasting impact in our church and city through a service opportunity. You will find ways to accomplish these objectives in a manner that fits your needs, interests, and schedule. Our objective is to walk alongside of you and your family to create an individualized spiritual growth plan to help you fully encounter the power and love of Jesus in your life.

For assistance in your spiritual journey, please contact Pastor J.P. at 392-9061 or [email protected].

Men’s Ministry: Leader: Mike Cruz (719) 392-9061 or [email protected] The men’s ministry of PPCC understands the critical role men play in the spiritual well-being of church and home. We want men to embrace the leadership position they have been called to, by strengthening their own walk with God, and humbly guiding their families into faith. No man can be expected to stand alone in this calling, so we draw men together for discipleship and fellowship, so they may be sharpened and strengthened in the Spirit.2013 Scripture: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

Heaven, by Randy Alcorn Time/Place: Tuesdays starting 08/27/13 9:30-11:30AM in Room 216Leader: Vicki Smith at [email protected] What do you know about Heaven?  How often do you think about Heaven?  For followers of Jesus with our eyes on Heaven while we're here on planet earth, we really don't talk or think much about it. We conjure ideas in our head about what it'll be like. Will we be playing harps on fluffy white clouds? Will we be praising God continually? Will our heavenly bodies be a big improvement over these earthly shells? We all have questions about what Heaven will be like and now Randy Alcorn has compiled a book with some of the most comprehensive and definitive answers taken from Scripture to date. God has put eternity in our hearts. Now, Randy Alcorn brings eternity to light in a way that will surprise you, spark your imagination and change how you live today. This is a study for those that truly feel a desire to search through the Scriptures to see what God has placed there for us to discover about our heavenly home.Requirements: Book "Heaven" and the study guide that goes with it.  You can get them both online, $19 and $1 respectively through Amazon.  You can also order the book and workbook from Mardel's  for $25 and $10.Childcare not provided

All women experience these 'unglued feelings' at times, often when they least expect it. These emotions are not wrong, in fact they are God-given. However, our emotions should be indicators not dictators. Each experience is an opportunity to either fall back into patterns that make us wallow in guilt or chose more wisely and make progress. In Unglued, TerKeurst equips women with spiritual strategies to help them manage their reactions. It's one thing to tell a woman to control her feelings but a whole new kind of help to show her step by step how to let this situation work for her rather than against her.. Group Life verses:

Acts 1:7-8 (NIV) “He said to them: ‘It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’”

Joshua 24:15 (NIV)  “But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.  But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
