1. Approve Agenda Bob O’Brion

• Bob Becker - Motion to approve agenda by Nancy Elsing, second by Mary Rosin, unanimously approved.

2. Approve Minutes Bob O’Brion

• Bob Becker - Motion to approve minutes by Annette Currie, second by Judy Robbins, unanimously approved.

3. Approve Financials Bob Becker

• Motion to approve financials by Judy Robbins, second by Nancy Elsing, unanimously approved.

4. Approve 2012 Annual Report Bob O’Brion

• Bob Becker - Motion to approve 2012 Annual Report by Mike Griffith, second by Annette Currie, unanimously approved

5. 2013 Travel Guide Matt Meyers

• Talked with Matt about getting next year’s guide out by January 31st – is possible to do. Matt

handed out copies of 2013 guide to proof • Need to fill 3 more pages – Carmen will send him 100 things to do in Columbia County with help

from Chambers and Communities plus a page on the Columbia County Fair and CCVB Concert with Tony Rocker

6. CCVB Office Bob Becker

• Bob Becker is going to talk to Watermark about renting the room but they may want a bigger space

7. Columbia County Silent Sports Trails Committee Nancy Elsing

• Nancy Elsing – next meeting is Monday, March 4th at 5 pm at Portage Enterprise Center. Talking

about Route 30 and to bring more routes throughout Columbia County. Need best and safest routes.

• Nancy Elsing - John Bluemke from Columbia County Planning & Zoning, Jessica Fandrich and Brad Boettcher from General Engineering Company, Tom Lorfeld from Columbia County Highway Department and Nancy Elsing met to discuss the Columbia County Silent Sports Trails Committee. The following was found –

o Need better maps o Biking is a huge revenue

• Annette Currie – how to get a trail like one along 12/18 • Nancy Elsing – Watertown has backing from Trek Bikes • Bob Becker – need to find safe routes like abandon railroads but no available right of ways. • Mary Rosin – need to promote -

o Ice Age Trail o Bike Trails o Snowmobile Trails o ATV Trails

• Mary Rosin – can we move trails along fence lines? • Nancy Elsing – General Engineering Company wants to help get this going. • Mary Rosin – need to get more younger people involved • Annette Currie – need to target high school kids

8. Concerts at the Portage Carmen Griffith

• Concerts are booked, now working on getting desserts set up. Hoping to get more funding to help pay for bands. Do we want to have the CCVB sell desserts? No.

9. Columbia County Fair Bob Becker

• Bob Becker - Need to get posters made up and put out. Judy Robbins said she would take some. • Get some teddy bears to throw out into the crowd during the teddy bear song

10. Distribution Mike Griffith

• Mike Griffith – Juneau and Green Lake Counties are available to put out. Mike has been busy distributing them and the Bridal Guide

11. Revised Tourism goals for 2013 (2013 attached) Bob O’Brion

• Bob Becker – Motion to approve the revised 2013 tourism goals by Annette Currie, second by Judy Robbins, unanimously approved.

12. Awards night in April, 11, 2013 Carmen Griffith

• Carmen sent out the invitations and nomination forms. Will send out nomination forms again asking for nominations

13. Spring Tourism Kickoff at Ferry, Friday, June 14, 4pm-8pm Bob O’Brion

June 7th would be a better date - does this work?

• Carmen and Mike Griffith will not be able to attend on Friday, June 14th, will anyone else be able to

attend or do we reschedule? • Bob Becker, Annette Currie and Mary Rosin will be able to attend • Need to have music and hand out bags of literature • Lodi Chamber would like to sell the food

14. US Senior Men’s Nationals to Columbia County in 2013 Nancy Elsing

• One box of 2012 travel guides were picked up to put in the goodie bags being handed out – the bonspiel was held February 21-24

16. Dodge County Bob O’Brion

• Todd Ehlenfeldt - 72 people attended the Annual Dodge County Breakfast – happy that Columbia County attended to support Dodge County

• March 25th – 5:30 pm holding business after hours at Hydro Street Brewery

17. Community Involvement – who is doing what in their community? Any new events?

• Judy Robbins – brought in $2900.00 on a reverse raffle • Annette Currie – Easter bunny is coming

18. Open round table

• Mary Rosin – information on touch tv website • Carmen Griffith – sent in information for a free ad in the Good Sam RV Travel Guide &

Campground Directory – received a letter to contribute for Columbia County • Carmen Griffith – Keith Ripp will be joining the CCVB at the Legislative Breakfast at the Governor’s

Conference

from Chambers and Communities plus a page on the Columbia County Fair and CCVB Concert with Tony Rocker

• Bob Becker is going to talk to Watermark about renting the room but they may want a bigger space

7. Columbia County Silent Sports Trails Committee Nancy Elsing

• Nancy Elsing – next meeting is Monday, March 4th at 5 pm at Portage Enterprise Center. Talking

about Route 30 and to bring more routes throughout Columbia County. Need best and safest routes.

• Nancy Elsing - John Bluemke from Columbia County Planning & Zoning, Jessica Fandrich and Brad Boettcher from General Engineering Company, Tom Lorfeld from Columbia County Highway Department and Nancy Elsing met to discuss the Columbia County Silent Sports Trails Committee. The following was found –

o Need better maps o Biking is a huge revenue

• Annette Currie – how to get a trail like one along 12/18 • Nancy Elsing – Watertown has backing from Trek Bikes • Bob Becker – need to find safe routes like abandon railroads but no available right of ways. • Mary Rosin – need to promote -

o Ice Age Trail o Bike Trails o Snowmobile Trails o ATV Trails

• Mary Rosin – can we move trails along fence lines? • Nancy Elsing – General Engineering Company wants to help get this going. • Mary Rosin – need to get more younger people involved • Annette Currie – need to target high school kids

8. Concerts at the Portage Carmen Griffith

• Concerts are booked, now working on getting desserts set up. Hoping to get more funding to help pay for bands. Do we want to have the CCVB sell desserts? No.

9. Columbia County Fair Bob Becker

• Bob Becker - Need to get posters made up and put out. Judy Robbins said she would take some. • Get some teddy bears to throw out into the crowd during the teddy bear song

10. Distribution Mike Griffith

• Mike Griffith – Juneau and Green Lake Counties are available to put out. Mike has been busy distributing them and the Bridal Guide
