How to make it easy

Start in Excel finish in Microsoft Project

Excel to M-Project

Write the details for the following in Excel File :Task NameStart Date andFinish Date

Copy and paste Task Name and Start Date in M-Project

Copy and paste Finish Date in M-Project

Indent all except dissertation Next indent Chapterwise (i.e. indent again for

headings inside each chapter)

Enter the Predecessor Predecessor will enable you to start a task after

completion of the previous task

M-Project

Example: Going to college there are three tasks Task 1: going to bus stop Task 2: Paying for ticket Task 3: Getting off at the college

So you can assign predecessor to task 2 and task 3.

In M-Project, enter the row number of the task in Predecessor column. In the example above the predecessor for task 2 is 1 and 2 for task 3 (assuming Task 1-3 were in rows 1-3)

If you would like to avoid the first two columns, you can hide the second column and you need to use the cursor to hide it for second.

TimeScale

Timescale feature in M-project can be used to adjust the time setting, such as days, weeks, months.

There are bottom, middle and top tiers

Task – copy – copy picture Enter the correct dates and paste in word Advised to have landscape mode in word Adjust the size as required
