NATIONAL CADET CORPS
(NCC)
National cadet Corps is Tri-
services organization comprising
Army, Navy and Air force,
engaged in grooming the youth-
The leader of tomorrow- into
disciplined and patriotic citizens.
The NCC in India came into being
with the passing of National Cadet
Corps Act on 15 July 1948. In the
same year the NCC curriculum was
extended to include community
development and social activities
as a part of the NCC Syllabus at
the behest of Pt. Jawahar Lal
Nehru. The motto of NCC, “Unity and Discipline” was adopted on 23 Dec.1957. In living up to its motto, the NCC strives to be and is one of the greatest cohesive forces of the nation bringing
together the youths hailing from different parts of the country and molding them into united, secular and disciplined
citizens of the nation. The tri colour flag adopted in 1954 depicts red
for Army deep blue for Navy and light blue for Air Force. Since
Oct.1982 “Ham Sab Bhartiya Hain, Ham Sab Bhartiya Hain, Apni Manzil ek Hai” Is adopted as NCC song.
With the efforts of the then Principal Dr. Sharda Dhalta our College
got the privilege to start NCC in July 2004 with a senior Division
Unit comprising of 65 cadets. Later on our NCC unit progressed leaps
& bounds under the able guidance of principal Dr.B.L.Vinta.
Presently the College is having a unit of 50 senior division cadets
under the dynamic leadership of worthy Principal Dr.Parmod
Chauhan. During a very short period of about 12 years, the College NCC Unit has made remarkable achievement by
imparting training and organizing various local, state and national level camps.
