you each week ~ a very good practice for them to develop.

The summer months are drawing near, so this seems like a

good time to remind you that while you may be away on

meet the parish’s operating expenses. You may continue

your regular giving even while away from home by enrolling

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Today we are celebrating the Ascension of the Lord. On

this day we also remember our dear mothers, living and

deceased. May the Lord bless them and look with kindness

upon them.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members

of the Committee for the Main Event for a most enjoyable

evening and the members of the parish staff who assisted

them. A special thank you goes out to the band, to all of our

donors and volunteers, and to everyone who came to be part

of the evening. It was a wonderful time. Thank you one and

all.

On page 6 of this week’s bulletin you will find information

and the registration sheet for those wishing to attend the

Priesthood Ordination of Deacon Matthew Weaver in Saint

Louis. We will carpool to Toledo where we will meet with

support of life. Let us all continue to pray for life always.

Dear Parishioners,

This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week.

Corpus Christi Academy is blessed with a dynamic

faculty/staff of teacher leaders who drive instruction as

well as community at our school. We are very thankful to

have such compassionate and enthusiastic educators!

Corpus Christi Academy was alive with music this past

week as Mrs. Mast led the students in grades 5, 6, and 7 in

an instrumental music concert on Tuesday and Mr. Trost

fired up the Academy bands on Wednesday evening. Both

performances were inspirational! WELL DONE!!!

Please keep our Preschool children in your prayers as they

begin their summer vacation this week. Our Preschool

students had a successful year. We are looking forward to

seeing you back at the Academy in August.

Are you interested, or do you know someone who is

interested, in Kindergarten or Pre-K for the 2018-2019

school year? Corpus Christi Academy is planning to hold

a Kindergarten and Pre-K Open House on Tuesday,

May 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come learn about our

early learning opportunities and meet our teaching staff for

these students, Mrs. Duncan and Miss Olp.

donations are welcome. Donations are accepted at the

Ozanam Center any Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Center: cans of soup, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned

chicken, canned tuna, meal-in-a-can (i.e. chili, etc.), toilet

paper and paper towels. Items can be placed in the bins

provided in the vestibule of the Church. They will be

taken to the Center by our volunteers during the week.
