Bring the family and spend the day visiting a sampling of our working farms. The sights, sounds, and smells will delight all ages. Farm Day is a self guided tour showcasing local, active farms. USDA NationalCenter for Cool & ColdWater AquacultureScientists at the NCCWA work closely with trout farmers across the US to solve problems through research with the goal to improve production efficiency. Research focuses on improving health, enhancing breeding and genetics, and understanding physiology of rainbow trout and brook trout. This stop will let visitors tour the labs, see the fish, and meet the scientists.This tour stop will only be open to visitors during the hours of 11 AM - 3 PM.From WV Route 9, take the Shepherdstown/Leetown exit and travel south on Leetown Road for 2.7 miles. 2. RSD Horse AuctionThis new 24,000 square foot auction facility just opened in May 2019, relocating the monthly auctions from Maryland. Auctions are held on the first Friday of every month, attracting buyers and sellers from all over the United States. Owner Tim Smith strives to help the equine industry by providing a local venue to buy and sell quality horses and horse supplies. Come see the new arena and if you have time, come back in the evening for the August auction. Tack is auctioned off at 6 PM, and horses begin at 8 PM. The atmosphere is clean, family friendly, and a great place to connect with other equine enthusiasts.From WV Route 9, take the Bardane exit and travel south on Wiltshire Road for 1.7 miles. 3. Tudor Hall FarmOne of the oldest farms in Jefferson County, Tudor Hall was established by the Grantham family in 1763. Once a dairy farm, now Tudor Hall produces beef, pork, eggs, and vegetables year round. Tudor Hall remains a family farm to this day, and is run by the 8th generation farmers Natalie and Andrew, as well as many helping hands from the rest of the family. Come see a diverse farm that has evolved to keep up with the trends of today, yet remains rooted in history.From Charles Town, take 51 East (Middleway Pike) and travel for 5 miles. Immediately past South Child’s Road, turn left onto the gravel drive, by the old Tudor Hall farmstand, and follow it for 0.4 miles to Tudor Hall Farm.6274 MIDDLEWAY PIKE, KEARNEYSVILLE

4. Town & CountryNurseryBob and Nancy Tabb established Town & Country Nursery in 1981, and have since expanded their farm to include Christmas trees, a pumpkin patch, and over 30 acres of fresh produce. They’re well known for their signature popcorn, but also grow beans, squash, leafy greens, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and much more. Stop by and see where your food really comes from!From WV Route 9, take the Bardane exit and travel south on Wiltshire Road for 3 miles Turn right onto Old Leetown Pike, and drive another 1.1 miles, past the fairgrounds.
