    POST OFFICE REGULATIONS.The New Parcels Post.For an Inland Postal Parcel not exceeding ilb. in weight, the rateof postage, to be prepaid in ordinary postage stamps, will be 3d. ; ilb.and not exceeding 3ID., 6d. ; 31b. and not exceeding 51b., gd. ; ^lb. and

    not exceeding 71b., is.The dimensions allowed for an Inland Postal Parcel will be :Maximum length, 3ft. 6in. ; Maximum length and girth combined, 6ft.Examples: A parcel measuring St't. Gin. in its longest dimension maymeasure as much as .'ft. tiin. in tfirth, i.e. around its thickest part, orA shorter parcel may be thicker e.g. if measuring no more than 3ft. inlength, it may measure as much as St't. in girtn, i.e. around its thickest part.The Regulations under which certain Articles are prohibited fromtransmission by the Letter Post will with a few exceptions applyequally to the Parcels Post. For instance, Gunpowder, LuciferMatches, anything liable to sudden combustion, Bladders containingliauid, and Live Animals, will be excluded from the Parcels Post. .

    Post Cards.Post Cards, whether official or private having a \d. stamp impressedupon them (adhesive stamps not being accepted in pajunent of the

    postage), may be transmitted between places in the United Kingdom,with letters written on the back. They may now be purchased at thefollowing rates : Stout cards 1, \d. ; 2, x\d. , 3, 2d. ; 4, i\d. ; 5, 3\d. ;6, Sfd.     Post Office Telegraphs.The charge for the transmission of Messages by Telegraphthroughout the United Kingdom is is. for the first twenty words, and 3d.for each additional five words or part of five words.
