The Methodist church Sunday school opens on. Sunday, Sept. 14, with classes for all ages. The first meeting of the MYF -of the Methodist church will be held on Sunday evening, Sept 14, at the church at 6 o’clock.

Mrs. David Solomon is the teacher.

Mr. and Mrs. Milbert Johnson and children of Amenia spent Saturday oyerfiight at the home of his brother, Itichard Johnson, and family on Highmount. • On Sunday they all attended the wedding of their niece, Miss Marietta Johnson to Douglas Shultis a t the Sacred Heart church in' Margaretville. The newlyweds will make their home in Fleischmanns.
Mr. and Mrs. Horace Barreca and -daughter, Marion, have closed their summer home on Ellsworth avenue and returned to, their home in Brooklyn. Roy Barreca of East Meadow, L. L, came to bring his parents and sister home on Saturday.
Fished at Black-- Lake David Solomon and son, Harry,
and Attorney Harold Kleinfeld spent a few days camping Eui'd fishing at Black lake the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Blanchard of Oneonta and her brother, Gerald Bushnell, were Sunday afternoon callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Todo. Mr. Bushnell is connected with the American Embassy in Paris. Mr. Bushnell and Mrs. Blanchard are son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Bushnell, former residents of this village.
Mr. and Mrs. Howell B irds^ entertained at a family dinner on Sunday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Williams of Walton, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rendo and son, Roy, of Morris and Mr. and Mrs. James Pavlos 8nd children, Kathy, Suzanne and Nancy Ann. of this village.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Davis and son, Stephen, spent from Tuesday until Thursday visiting at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bar- tek, Euid feimily in Saugus, Mass.

The first regular meeting of the fall season of the WSCS of the Eleischmanns Methodist church will be held on Tuesday evening, Sept. 16, at the parsonage at 8 p. m.
A regular meeting of the Firemens Auxiliary was held on Wednesday evening, Sept. 3, at the fire hill. Eight members attended. Members of the auMliary sold refreshments at the MUon Schwartz auction in Clovesville on Saturday. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday evening, Oct. 1, at the fire hall.

and son, Michael, returned to their home in Manhattem Wednesday. Mr. Direktor operated a barber shop in the theatre building during the summer season.

Mr. and Mrs. Sollie Darling and daughter, Beverly, left Sunday to spend the week vaq,ationing in Cape Cod.
Sindy’s Sample Shoppe will remain oj)en during the winter season under the management of Mrs. James Fuller. The children’s apparel shop will be open on Friday evenings and all day Saturdays.

Calvin Wright of Clovesville celebrated his fifth birthday on Sept. 5. ' An outdoor barbecue supper to celebrate the occasion was held at the home of fus parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright, on Saturday afternoon. Sixteen guests were present. A party atmosphere prevailed with paper lanterns, balloons and crepe paper streamers decorating the lawn. The table was appropriately decorated with a centerpiece of gladioli and flanked on each side with two beautifully decorated birthday cakes made by Mrs. James Barton. Calvin received many gifts.

’The Red Cross offire in Delhi is open afternoons, Monday through Friday, from 1 o’dock until 4:30. At other hotu-s and on weekends Mrs. Smith may be reached at her home (telephone 241).
An important part of th^ executive secretary’s work has to do with what is called hcmie service: providiill' a mediiun of communication between men in the Armed Forces and their families at home.
Mrs. Smith will be available as a speaker for women’s dubs, service dubs and other groups throughout the chapter area.
