The trac eam, coached thts year by Steve Combs, had a hard workmg, commendable sea-son, even though the win / loss record was poor. Many hours of condttloning and work on tech -niques paid off for some, but the team as a whole suffered from a lac of participants. Greater success Will come with more athletes and more experience.
The two m1le relay team retgns as Moultrie Co n champtons. Led by sentors Rick Pearcy and Ern1e Drummond , the re lay team also got second at the Pana Invitational wtth a 9:02.1 time, the season ' s best. Ken Owens, Scott How-ard, Dan Herbert, Darrell Goddard and Steve LeCrone all ran on the relay team during dtffer-ent races throughout the year.
The girls ' team won their last triangular meet of the year by wtnning 12 of lb first places. The team had only 8 g1rls (1 senior, Joella Cannoy) , w1th each competing in several events. Next year looks promtsing w1th these g1rls bac and hopefully a few more.

The (very} great grandson of the master sleuth is trymg to make 1t as a pnvate eye, his mind filled w1th beautiful g1rls. Unfortunately, Sherwood is not quite up to his illustnous ancestor Sherlock, a fact pointed out to him by the descendant of Doctor Watson. Thrust into a marvelous and complex murder mystery, young Sherwood tnes desperately to rise to the occasion, but h1s bnll1ant solution is apparently no more than a humorous disaster. However, this great grandson still retains a b1t of classic brilliance by decoding Mr. Creastly's clue to the killer through Ana-word1es and dramatically nails the culpnt.
