Production Rollout Considerations Enhancements will be approved and schedule by the PSC for assignment to an SBS Quarterly release.

Part II - Functional Requirements and Developer Specifications

The following represents each enhancement request; details associated with the request, current functionality and enhanced functionality requested.

1. External Original Licensing- Require First Name, Telephone, Email Address

Submitted on: 9/26/2011 Submitted By: Effie Brown State: AL Phone Number: 334-241-4159 Email Address: [email protected] Elaboration: We would like to request an enhancement to the SBS Online Licensing application. We need the below fields to be required when applying for a license and we need to be able to view all data entered before the application is approved. Because we get several applications that do not have full information and we can’t issue them because of this… First and Last Name - Some just enter last name. Telephone # Email address Having these fields required would give us a way to contact the individual other than mailing address. Action: External Original Licensing- require First Name, Telephone and Email Address. Steps: Go to the following page http://sbs-xx-dev.naic.org/Lion-Web/jsp/ext/login/UserVerification.jsp Populate SSN and Last Name Click through confirmation message Select Apply for License Select License Type and Entity Type On Entity Information tab- require First Name On Address tab- require Business Telephone and Business Email

2. External Licensee Look-up- Add Status Date on License Status (State Date column) and Designated Home State Submitted on: 6/11/12, 6/27/2012 Submitted By: Valeria Willams/Joan LaCourse State: MD/NH Phone Number: 410-468-2397/603-271-0203 ext 209 Email Address: [email protected]/[email protected] Elaboration 1: SBS-3671 MD - When BE license is cancelled, SBS external look up is not displaying status date, only status, MD would like to verify license status for individuals. The issue they're having is verifying the status date for a licensee. Companies need to know if a license was canceled, when it was canceled to see if business has been written by someone with an canceled license or line of authority. The status of the license is being shown as canceled but the status date does not appear to be populating. Maryland would like to see the date displayed on the look-up screen. The screen gives the impression that the status and date should both be displayed Elaboration 2: License verification lookup. Since the Designated Home State info is captured in SBS and not NIPR, I'd like to suggest that an additional column be added to the Verification lookup to see what the licensee has chosen for the DHS. This would be helpful to licensees, administrators and CE providers needing to verify the data. This would reduce phone calls to the department.

Email Required Telephone Required

Update 7/19/12 – A new column for Designated Home State should be added to the Licensee Look-up. The Designated Home State will display if it is populated. A “N/A” will display if Designated Home State is not populated.

Action: External Licensee Look-up - Add Status Date on License Status (Status Date) column and Designated Home State Steps: Go to the following page http://sbs-xx-dev.naic.org/Lion-Web/jsp/sbsreports/AgentLookup.jsp Enter require information On the license look-up result screen- add new Field Designated Home State

Add: Designated Home State

Add: Status Date
