I think August is really cool,Because it’s time for back to school. You’ve got to get ready for school,By buying a backpack, new shoes, and math tools.Just one more thing to say,I know I’ll learn something new everyday!

YOM kIppUrOctober is my favorite month of the year,With its sunny blue skies, and air crisp and clear. It’s the time Mother Nature puts on her paradeOf glorious colors in every shade,And from the smallest seed to the tallest tree,Wherever you look, there is beauty to see.

“A Day at the Beach”
The breeze flowing through my hair,
The waves crashing against the shore,
Seagulls squeaking here and there,
People arriving more and more.
Dad laying a towel down,Mom putting an umbrella upSis putting some lotion on,And me drinking out of
my cup.
Listening to music,Laying in the sun,Worrying about nothing,But loving the fun.
To sit here relaxed and out of reach,
Is the best part about a day at the beach.

STUDENT aBSENCESBloomsburg Area School District uses a written excuse system for reporting all student absences. Students have three days to turn in a written excuse for an absence or it will be declared unexcused. Three consecutive days of absence must be accompanied by a doctor’s excuse. If a student is going to be absent, parents are asked to call the school between 7:45 and 9:30 a.m. to report the absence. If a student is absent and no call is received, the school health aide calls the student’s home to determine the reason for the absence. In this way, both parents and school officials can cooperate to help ensure that every student is either in school or at home under the supervision of parents.Telephone numbers to report student absences are:• Beaver-Main Elementary School: 570-784-0309• W.W. Evans Elementary School: 570-387-4335• Memorial Elementary School: 570-784-6135• Middle School: 570-784-9100• High School: 570-784-6100
