The Blumey Awards Judges Panel

The Doctor Family Foundation will present two $10,000 annually renewable scholarships this year to outstanding students participating in The Blumey Awards . In addition to other criteria, students eligible for this scholarship must be high school seniors who intend to major in performing or technical arts . Many thanks to The Doctor Family Foundation for their continued support of Blumenthal's Education programs .

Maureen o’Boyle (Master of Ceremonies)Maureen returned to her hometown of Charlotte to join WBTV in the summer

of 2004 . Maureen co-anchors the 5 and 6 p .m . news with Paul Cameron Monday through Friday . She also solo anchors "PrimeTime," Charlotte's only newscast at 7 p .m . Monday through Friday . Prior to joining WBTV, Maureen worked on national television, anchoring syndicated programs for Warner Brothers and Twentieth Television, including, "Extra” and “A Current Affair .” Maureen was also at the helm of her own talk show for Warner Brothers called “In Person with Maureen .”

David Dabbon (Music Director/Conductor)David Dabbon is a New York-based composer and Grammy nominated orchestrator, providing additional orchestrations for the Tony nominated musical “Sondheim on Sondheim .” David served as conductor/arranger/orchestrator for the first Blumey Awards program and arranger for the Gene KellyAwards and the National High School Musical Theatre Awards . He is an orchestrator on Audra McDonald's upcoming album "Go Back Home ." David most recently wrote the dance arrangements for the new roadway bound musical The Nutty Professor, composed by the late Marvin Hamlisch and Rupert Holmes, directed by its original star Jerry Lewis .

linda Booth (Choreographer)Linda Booth hails from Washington, D .C ., and received her BFA in dance performance as well as her teaching certificate in dance education from

UNC-Greensboro . She has maintained a rich and rewarding career in Charlotte as a performer, director and choreographer . As a teaching artist, she has instructed more than 20,000 youths and was honored to be selected N .C . Dance Educator of the Year . Linda is passionate about musical theater and has choreographed over 200 productions in regional and educational theater . She has received many awards from MTA, as well as the N .C . Theatre Conference .
