Welcome! We are glad you’re here! We invite you to seek out the folks wearing the “Ask Me” badge. Through them you will find information about the ministries of Salem Heights Church and how to become involved. Please fill out a Visitor Card and drop it in one of the offering boxes as you leave or scan this code to go directly to our website and fill out a visitor card. We have an excellent nursery and programs for children newborn through high school. Any of the ushers will be happy to direct you to the proper classroom. If you feel more comfortable having your infant with you during the service, the last row in the Auditorium will be reserved for parents with small children. There is a private room for nursing mothers across the hall from the Auditorium with a rocking chair, changing table and portable crib. For your convenience, it also includes a monitor to enable you to still hear and view the service.

Our Purpose...

To reach people with the love of Jesus Christ, provide a safe and

supportive environment, proclaim the standards of God’s truth,

duplicate the Christian life in others, and celebrate the majesty

and works of Our Great God.

Giving Update

THE MINISTRY OF SALEM HEIGHTS CHURCH The ministry of Salem Heights Church is funded entirely by the generous giving of God’s people. You will notice that we do not pass the offering plate; however, there are offering boxes in the back of the auditorium. We have done this so no one gives out of compulsion. We believe from the Word of God that the Spirit of God will lead people towards giving back to God of their first fruits. “...God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor. 9:7) and we know He blesses those who take His Word seriously in every regard. Thank you for prayerfully supporting Salem Heights financially as we desire to reach the lost and disciple the Saints.

LUKE Part 19

Luke 4:31-44

“A Day in the Life”

Presented by

Pastor Justin Greene

March 15, 2015

A drop of water seems tranquil when viewed from

a distance, but under the microscope we see it is

teeming with life. In much the same way Christ,

viewed from 2000 years away, seems unhurried

and tranquil. In order to guide our education and

inform our perspective, the great author, Luke,

puts the Messiah’s ministry under the microscope

... One drop, one day, that we might be amazed.

Page 8: 20150315 Web Bulletin

REMEMBER WHEN...

Last Week:

• Jesus told Nazareth that the faith of some outsiders put God

on display best.

THIS WEEK:

• He (God) preaches from a synagogue built by a Gentile (7:5).

Last week:

• He told Nazareth they would covet the work He would do in

Capernaum.

THIS WEEK:

• He gets to work.

Page 9: 20150315 Web Bulletin

UNDER THE MICROSCOPE

• We see the power of His message.

Once again the people were awestruck.

Once again there was a rousing response.

He cares about your homiletics (art of preaching).

• We see mad men set free.

A note on the reality of demons.

As faith filled the synagogue, wickedness knew it had to

flee.

 He cares about your heart.

Page 10: 20150315 Web Bulletin

• We see the mystery of a messianic secret.

God does not need the testimony of the enemy.

God does not need the testimony of the uninformed.

He does not want your testimony.

He cares about what you hear (and from whom).

• We see Him heal a mother-in-law.

 WHAAAAT?

 He cares about your home.

Page 11: 20150315 Web Bulletin

• We see Him minister to the masses.

He cares about your health and lack of hope.

• We see His main point.

He left His solitude in order to serve.

He cares most that you would hear of heaven.
