The International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Symposium serves as a forum for developers, analysts, and users of computational techniques applied to electromagnetic field problems for all frequency ranges. The

symposium includes technical invited plenary and regular presentations, software tutorials, vendor booths, and short

courses.

The Symposium will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Denver Tech Center, 10250 East Costilla Avenue,

Centennial, Colorado 80112, USA on March 24-29, 2018. Papers may address general issues in applied computational electromagnetics or focus on specific applications, techniques, codes, or computational issues of potential interest to

ACES members through invited and contributed papers. Distinguished researchers will be invited to deliver keynote

speeches on technology trends and significant advances in relevant topics. The following is a list of suggested topics,

although contributions in other areas of applied computational electromagnetics will also be considered.

Topics

The topics include, but are not limited to, the following technical areas:

Computational Methods:

Integral Equations/Differential Equations; Hybrid and Multi-Physics;

Low Frequency/Asymptotic and High Frequency;

Electronic Paper Submission:

Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts in electronic (PDF) format only. All papers must be written in English and limited to two pages including text, references, and figures. Submitted papers should strictly follow the

conference paper template available on the ACES 2018 website. Only one accepted paper can be associated with

one full conference registration. Additional papers presented by the same authors can be registered at an extra fee ($100

per paper) up to a maximum of 3 extra papers. Papers submitted will be peer reviewed and all papers presented at the

conference will be included in IEEE Xplore pending quality review and further indexed by Engineering Index (EI).

Best Paper Awards:

Awards for Best Paper(s) and Best Student Paper(s) will be presented to the winners at the conference. The Awards Committee will judge the papers primarily on originality, significance, technical soundness, presentation, and

reviewers’ reports. To qualify for the Best Student Paper, the author must be a full-time student who presents, as the

first author, the paper at the conference. Students who wish to participate in this competition should upload their papers directly to the designated “Student Paper Competition” upload option.

Important Dates:

Paper Submission Deadline: October 15, 2017

Notification of Acceptance: January 14, 2018 Final paper Submission: January 31, 2018

Exhibitions: Exhibition of company products is solicited for the areas related to the topics. Interested parties should contact the

Conference Secretariat.

Denver, the capital of Colorado, is an American metropolis dating to the Old West era. Larimer Square, the city's oldest block, features landmark 19th-century buildings.

Museums include the Denver Art Museum, an ultramodern complex known for its collection of indigenous works, and the mansion of famed Titanic survivor Molly Brown. Denver is also a jumping-off point for ski resorts in the nearby Rocky Mountains. The coin-producing Denver Mint is open to the public, and the 1894 State

Capitol Building also offers tours. The Botanic Gardens hosts summer concerts, and the Museum of Nature and Science has exhibits on anthropology, geology, space

and zoology. The Clyfford Still Museum showcases works by the namesake Abstract Expressionist. Many saloons once thrived in the "Mile High City," and their influence is evident in the microbreweries, sports bars and live-music venues that make up Denver's nightlife scene. Coors Field hosts Colorado Rockies baseball games,

and pro football's Broncos play at Sports Authority Field.

Conference Hotel - Embassy Suites by Hilton - Denver Tech Center

The ACES negotiated hotel rate is $149 and it is available 3 days before and after the conference official dates, but rooms are limited. So early reservation is preferred.
